I hope marco does a lot better the second half of the season.

Ducati needs a bit of personality at the end of the day after moaners tantrum. At least marco likes a fight.

Should be a good second half of the season.Good luck Marco x

Nice try? For what?

Yes that was a real honest to God quote from Rossi during the post race interview after Turkey 2007. It was reposted on superbikeplanet.com on 7-24-08 under the title "Pay it Forward: Rossi takes it, than dishes it". Check it out - it is a very short article. So go to the site and click on news and scroll down if you don't believe me. Oh, I'm American and could careless about the Stoner/Val fan feud or hatred or whatever it's called.

superbikeplanet.com posted that quote because everyone was calling Stoner a whiner so they wanted everyone to see that all riders, even Val, complains. Fair enough.

Is it race weekend yet or what?

Shame, Shame, Shame Raw Dawg

Never, ever say anything bad about the 7 times world champion. Here in Rossi.net, we are only allowed to critize the last 2 world champions aka Hayden and Stoner as they are just blow in riders and their world championship don't because one came from AMA and never won a lower level world championship, and the other has won SFA. He came close in 05 on a non factory Aprilla, but that does not count.

Only those riders who are proven winners and WC in 125 and 250 cc classes are allowed to make comment. Other than that you are classed as a whinger/moaner

Ducati should get Sete Gibernau...
This is very important to show that Ducati bike can be ride by other rider as fast as Stoner too...
Very good for marketing buzz too i think..... :)

Oh ya!
Melandri deserves to be on the team all season and a premature termination of melandri's contract does not bode well for the image of Ducati.
An Italian team unethically saying good bye to an able Italian (Ducati only sought after Melandri dumping Capirossi off ungratefully) sounds too ugly!

Given his Motogp pedigree, he ought to ride the Ducati all season and Melandri has evinced interest in doing so.
Guintoli's and Elias' dismal showing must go in Melandri's favour!

Don't like to see Melandri concede defeat to the seemingly untamable Ducati!

Most interesting would be when they found something to make the bike work for him. What if from now on he steadily goes into top 10 and towards podium finishes? Maybe they will renew his contract for next year. :)

Oh ya!
To be a complete champ, they must take pains to tailor-modify the Ducati to Melandri's style!
Rossi showed it by switching teams and tyres!
Why not Ducati take this as a challenge and try to suit their bikes to others as well.
Indeed, they are trying their level best in doing that!
Saying bye bye to Melandri might sound fruitful right now, but think about where Ducati will be if, by any chance, Stoner wants to call it a day with Ducati, seeking a new challenge, may be, aboard the Honda, which he was never able to ride the way he wanted to in 2006.
So, Melandri might be Ducati's saviour if they make a li'l docile.

@ Raw Dawg

Before complaining about others, maybe you should stop making these stupid assumptions. True a lot of people here probably never ridden or owned a sport bike before, but you'd be surprised how many actually do, including myself. There are two types of riders, one that can ride around problems and the other cannot.

Now about Melandri, I believe he's a good rider and I hope he will get some better results soon. However, one thing I don't trust is Ducati's politics. After what they told Barros in Mugello, who knows what's really going on behind the doors. And please don't tell me that you know, cause you don't, unless you're one of the Ducati bosses.

@Guest

What assumptions are yo talking about? That some people don't even ride and complain about others? #1 I know that some people that post on here ride - I would be an idiot to think other wise #2 It's not an assumption - it's fact that some people don't ride yet complain. Even you posted "True a lot of people here probably never ridden or owned a sport bike before". And I never have posted anything with your name on it or slammed you. So if what I said was true, you ride bikes, and I never attacked you my question is why are you so bent out of shape with me?
