If Sete''s the only rider other than Casey that can go quick on the Duke then give the man a ride!
He can only get faster....

Charlie do you think Yamaha/Honda/Kawasaki don't test everyday? they all own racetracks, they just don't test with such high profile riders that would make press, normally you wouldn't get riders with such pedigree testing, gibernau is a one off!

I wonder what the chances are of Troy Bayliss getting another wildcard ride at the end of the season?

It would be a nice way to finish his career. It would be interesting to see how TB would have the handled the Ducati.

Maybe Ducati are looking at several riders next year, one may ride in a simular style to Sete and they want to see how a rider with this style handles the bike. I am sure Ducati was all of it's riders to be competitive and not just Stoner.

Hillbilly, I agree in that the Qualy's were used to test the bike and handling.. but i still think there is a plan from both sides here that is being played by both for differant reasons...

Everyone knows Hayden is Ducati's main aim, i still think Sete could add alot to that team as both Stoner and hayden are not able to develop a bike to the degree of sete (melandri also) and he IS FAST enough to not humiliate himself and humiliate other more.. I hope he gets a Race to prove to himself and everyone else if he STILL CAN?? That would be great!

For all the Stoner lovers and haters there is a interview with Casey posted today on superbikeplanet.com (This is a US site). The reason I mention this is they pose the question to him about how he feels when people say it is the bike and not the rider.

And hopefully Hayden is the man for Ducati! Go USA!

Thanks Raw Dawg for sharing that with us.

You can certainly see where the spoilt brat comments come from. I mean Stoner came from a family with money and he bought his rides in Australia and Europe. If only those others riders has the same deal with parents with money and sponsors galore, like the spoilt brat Stoner. :-o

Still Stoners 1 world championship with money, great bikes and sponsers galore dont count for very much. Lets see the lad win a few championships, where he never gets to bikes and sponsors and all the good kit behind him.

Thanks again Raw Dawg, it shows if your not from Europe the road is very long and hard.

That's not love: it's called respect. I just don't get it. I guess you read into what you want: everything I read was pretty impressive. I can't really think of how it would be possible for anyone to race at any level of motorsport and not have some money. Even guys that race junk spend thousands - I know we do. Sell everything you own to go racing? How many of us have taken such chances? Stoner is the real deal, no doubt about it. His explanation on leverage and how his boots are breaking down was fascinating. You would have thought with TC, none of that would be necessary  Just kidding. There are so many moves at every corner, it's amazing.
