I reckon his will do OK at Ducati. There was some luck involved in 2006. But he was a consistant front runner that year. He just can't rider the tiny Honda which is much more suited Pedrosas smooth style.

The Ducati is big and has some raw power, thats what Haydon prefers, it's closer to a Superbike than the Honda is and he would do well on it.

But he beat Rossi, which means instant hatred from 80% of the people that read Crash.

I Don't rate him. Maybe he'll go to Ducati for '09 and we can see Stoner demolish him...

i reckon nicky found the 07 bike unriderble for one reason, it was designed for dani.
he is a great rider but he only one in 06 cos of rossi's problems and HRC knew this.after a demoralizing 07 and a knowledge that despite winning the world championship he was and is not the lead rider. you can see it in his face that he's had enough. im not sure that ducati would be a good move tho with cassy already appearing untouchable most of the time.look at edwards since getting out of rossi's shadow, apart from a few duff results he's been really on it. good luck to nicky tho where ever he goes.

Yep Prolific, he did nothing at Honda. We all dreamt that 2006 championship win.

My guess is that HRC has already let Nicky know that he won't be coming back. So why ride injured for them? Bring on the Duke.

I'm kind of mad at the X-Games organizers in a way. Every year they've tilted supermoto more towards supercross (in other words: really big jumps) dirt sections and it is increasing the risk of injury. Because of this it is unlikely we'll see any of the fast road racers doing X-Games supermoto because the risk of something like this is too great. A real shame.

At least he's not going to try riding injured and risk making it worse.

I read that he had been told his only option would be the satelite team anyway. Hope he doesn't go with that as the Honda just isn't working for him. They are so behind in their game anyway, look at Yamaha and the factory/satelite teams. Would love to see him sideways and smokin' on the Ducati!!

I have huge respect for Nicky but the 800's just do not work for him and probably never will, I think he should seriously consider WSB, He could be the 1st guy to win championships in both classes. He could still come back if they ever change to using proper mens bikes in Motogp

his style could dominate WSB
