I'm confused for a start! They reported here on crash that Nicky pulled out of the X Games because they changed the line up to include the triple jumps and he didn't want to risk getting hurt!

I know this is a hard blow to him and I hope that he's back in form quickly!

It's ridiculous, the bashing that goes on here.... easy to criticize when it's not your life on the line.

like with all sports its fans are fickle, myself included. i love watching valentino win, even in 02 and 03 when he was cleaning up n beating fellow RCV riders. yet when cassy won last year i wasn't so happy, in the first place it was great seeing the ducati doing so well and im glad they won the championship but he did it so easily. the number of postings on the US race is proof that a hard battle is what we want. unfortunatly nicky struggles to battle for the lead, he works real hard for every race and any team will benifit hugely from his experience and attitude.but the simply truth is we fans want race wins, consistancy is fine but wins garner the fans like nothing else.

personally id like to see nicky go to kawasaki, with all his skill im sure he could help to bring them closer to the front. its such a shame that the smaller teams cannot afford better riders and this years bikes. it must be gutting for riders to just circulate and no matter how hard they try they cannot get closer to the front. not such a bug thing if your a rookie i suppose but after several seasons i know id have the 'ump'. victory for rossi! and podium for kawasaki.

I still think is so funny how all of you arm chair European critics can do all the "poor baby", "so sorry" "he'll do better" back patting to Marco even tho he has been in LAST place or in the dirt most of the year BUT bash NH, and talk cash money shyt about the guy when ever the opportunity comes up.

Marco has been an UTTER FAILURE this year but everyone STILL coddles him like a baby. But NH who was 3rd at Assen and been in the top 8 most of the year is the devil incarnate.

Marco needs the axe just like West! NH will do much better at Ducati in 2009.

Well, I am just a European but I see it a bit different. Since changing from 1000 to 800 ccm, NH is nowhere as competitive as he ever was...even in Laguna. Dani Pedrosa usually performs better, even with the old valvespring engine. This year I am not sure it is all about how (Americans think) HRC handles Hayden as their No2 racer. It has to do anything with Hayden himself. NH is a really tough and hard-working racer but we remember how Dovi beat him in Laguna on a priv Honda(less HP, last years frame etc).
For Nicky it could be a good step to move to Ducati, I think he will perform for sure better than Melandri and better than himself this year.

....but I am not sure he will perform better than Melandri, if Marco gets his ass back to a competitive Honda. And I am not sure he will perform better than Stoner on the other Duke. I am not saying he would not, but it could be tougher than being better than Pedrosa as a teammate...because it seems if the RCV suits only for Pedrosa...the Duke suits only for Stoner so far. Not to mention, that the BS tyres will be totally new for Nicky. But I like him so hope he will tame the red ******* and fight for the WC.

well let the nicky bashing begin.... Nicky won in 06 not Rossi I am a hugh Rossi fan but the fact is he did not win in 06 end of story 08 will be very different!!!! Nicky will go to Ducati and ride the bike like stoner does and give him a good battle. Oh by the way no one here can ride a GP bike so until we you I can we should enjoy the racing (Laguna Seca Rules) gooooooooooooooooooooooo Rossi!!!!!!
