So Stoner mans up and admits a mistake and you still slag him? That's pretty weak. I assume by all the pres you mean the press you choose to pay attention to, or do you read all the press in thw world, or even your country?

I lost a lot of respect for Stoner after his comments which won't be gotten back easily. He really came across as a whiner and a prima donna. Now that Rossi has his number, it should make for some great racing during the rest of the season – it would also be nice if Rossi's Yami picked up a few extra ponies over the summer just to even things up on the straights :)

by the press i mean everyone on the bbc and eurosport also motor cycle news so i think they are fairly comprehensive as far as journalists and broadcasters he has admitted he may have over reacted after the race but nothing about being beaten by a better class of rider. so maybe you aught to look a bit deeper before replying about some thing you only know a bit about :p

Some people will never like Stoner (same as Dani or Lewis or Schumacher or Federer or Beckham) The people that love the sport will forget about minor things said in the heat of battle and take an overview.

Stoner played it well today. Otherwise it would of degenerataed into the Sete/Vale clash of a few years ago.

The battle between Valentino Rossi and Casey Stoner at Laguna Seca was the race we had all been waiting for - but I think we all felt robbed of the last five or six laps by Casey's mistake.

Casey is still a young lad and he was cross because he did not win, but he overreacted at the end.

He was stomping around, didn't want to shake Rossi's hand and gave out some weird vibes, saying Rossi was over the top.

I didn't think he was, and no-one else I have spoken to thought he was.

Rossi has never been a dirty rider. He is a hard rider and that is what it is about.

Casey has been a hard rider himself and he has got to remember he is in the toughest class. So, my advice to him is don't get mad, get even and do your talking on the track in the Czech Republic this weekend.

The biggest problem he has is that he is up against the most popular rider of all time. So, don't go around bitching about him or straight away 99% of people are against you.

When you have a bad race, the best thing about it is that usually you can go out the next weekend and try to put it right.

in the heat of the battle is when you really see what someone is made of. we saw it all for ourselves. its easy to try and play it down now.

i remember bayliss losing the world title at imola against colin edwards in the most incredible manner ive ever seen in motorsport with equally close balls out racing. and troy never once lost it or said anything negative whatsoever in the heat of it. completely gracious..Thats why i think the world of bayliss, most racers in general and aussies too. Stoner is just plain ****** and lets the aussies down. it aint because of rossi. well not to me anyway.

i cant ******* wait for practice tomorrow morning!!!

Lets the aussies down in personality stakes, not as a racer obviously!

Personally I hope we have a good race on sunday. Moaner has admitted he's wrong for what he said post race just hope that maturity will bring sportsmanship.

Unfortunately as stated by sharriff he is up against the GOAT and as he has such a loyal following it he was on a loser. In years to come with maturity maybe he will gain a loyal following too.
