Rossi is fast?!?! That's unbelievable!! I would have never thought it possible from one of the best racers of our generation, on an obscure Japanese bike that no one has ever heard of, with no racing pedigree whatsoever!

End sarcasm.

This has grown tiresome. Rossi could have a Pratt & Whitney jet turbine strapped to his bike, and some would still be crying about Stoner's horsepower advantage. Why can't everyone just pony up and say that they have no clue what the specs are for each of these bikes? No one has seen a dyno chart, no one knows the gearing, nothing. A 2 kph advantage at the end of a long straight hardly tells the whole story about a bike's advantages AND disadvantages.

Valentino is in touch after FP2! I bet Stoner is crapping his pants.. lol! Also i didnt think Casey looked very well, but it could''ve been the humidity. Im proud of Valentino to be so close to Casey on day 1, concidering his disadvantage of his body weight/size and lack of power on the straights.

Vale, make a battle like Laguna!!

i thought that yamaha would be crapping themselves having the highest paid rider being beaten by one of the smallest factory teams! and danis honda has the highest top speed followed by the ducati with the yamaha ONLY 2kph slower and considering it is not a drag race and the yamaha looks like an easier bike to handle i would say that stoner is doing pretty well.

Just for those who still don't know it's the ducati acceleration and midrange that the yam can't match, they are at top speed for only a few seconds each lap....hammer anyone.. It's closer than CS would have liked he is used to being 3/4 sec ahead every practice after last race that must be worrying especially after going off trying to repeat the lap.

Steve-- what did Mamola say?? don't have sky and for some reason motogp site has no commentary you'd think as part of the deal they would have the sky commentators on it..
