Rossi must still be a little concerned about Stoners pace. Even with a 50 point advantage it only takes 1 DNF from Rossi (and the pace they are running, they are both right on the edge) and a few wins from Stoner and Casey will be back up there.

Wonder if HRC are starting to think taking their toys home in a huff was absolutely the best idea they ever had? Rather looks as if they've decided this year is a write-off. It's not as if Dani was the fastest Michelin runner at Brno...

Thank god he switched to Bridgestone, otherwise like last year Casy would be the only top guy on them and would cruise through the last few races miles ahead of the Kawasakis and Suzukis

HRC has got their engeneers working with gresini and bridgestone, didn't make sense developing tyres for that won't be working with them, nicky isn't there, dani is injured and demoralized, tady can develop the pneumatic or spring valve engine in japan in a closed track with the bridgstones, they have done well in this decision.

but as burgess said "they won in 5 years as many races as rossi won in his first with yamaha", it's a managment problem.

In the last few races the only points Stoner has pulled back have been from Rossi falling so it figures he and his fans believe this to still be the best strategy... :)

Vale is in great shape, upbeat, going to his home race, a stonesthrow from Tavullia.
The track where he started as a kid racer and it is surely on his wish list (last years result wasn't too great).
Sure Casey is much faster now but the points are given on sunday. Besides we have to see if Ducati can make this setting work in Misano too.
Pedrosa will test again post Misano. He could get nothing out of the tyres that were offered by Michelin so he decided to pack.
Wise decision to spare his hand as well.

Casey has nothing to loose by pushing hard in testing Rossi has the world championship lead to loose. Rossi will push a lot harder when he needs to at that will be the next race he will not risk a crash just to be top of the test table.
