Don't you guys think it's Bridgestone that determines the amount of laps on a tire?

He was doing tire testing, which I would imagine would be at the discretion of the tire manufacturer.

Are we that insecure that we bash him for everything single thing he does? You guys are unbelievable. Replace Rossi with Stoner in this article and you guys would be creaming your shorts.

I guess it's too hard to congratulate someone and move on.

Oscar, thanks for your comments, it happens that I have a Physics bachelor and I was quite happy to discover that Physics offer a deep insight in the workings of my favorite hobby that is motorcycle riding!

For some reason crash.net won't allow me to edit my first, almost completely destroyed post but anyway the essence of the whole story is that in all things friction-related and for certain "inter-frictioning" materials, it's the ground pressure that dictates how much grip there is. Since tyres have a certain size, more weight on them means more ground pressure and less grip. There are many other parameters of course, like the ratio of sprung-to-unsprung mass but as a thumb rule it's OK.

Some people are saying that Casey should stay behind Valentino and pounce in the last couple of laps . . . great idea. So there's 5 points difference between 1st and 2nd, so that means that Casey will have to win 10 races to catch up to the points that Valentino has now. Great thinking. I like it.

Okay, now Ducati can give Marco and all the others the right traction control software the same as Stoner runs and bang all of a sudden they will all move up the field. If they can get any of the other riders on a Ducati up the front that might help them fight off Rossi

Did anyone notice how out of control Marco was in the slightly damp track, but he came in and all of a sudden his bike is able to go way faster on a soaked track and was far more under control. I believe an update to the traction control software. Though still not the Stoner TC software.

Telefonary- a bachelor in a science discipline is the first degree of knowledge, enough to be teaching in high schools. But since you surely already know that, one can only wonder why your mind strayed to this "bachelor boyfriend" thing.

Robert I'm sure that Stoner gets all the new software and equipment prior to Melandri especially as he hasn't performed that well. I'm sure the Stoner fanboys won't agree but this hierarcy only makes sense especially for a smaller factory such as Ducati. The idea is to have at least one top performing bike/rider instead of two mediocre bikes/riders. Eventually the next factory rider gets parts then lastly the satellite riders/teams.
