"...it is my only crash with a Ducati in a race..."

Did he crash so hard that he lost some memory and forgot about Laguna?

Saltbush, have you watched Stoner ride? He is hardly the best rider out there. He is on the fastest bike. Put him in traffic, and he falls to the wayside. But you rarely see that because his Ducati gets him out there, far in front of the competition. It's not him who is the champion, It's his bike.

Put it this way: The best rider would've been able to figure out how to pass Rossi at Laguna Seca without falling over.

Alex B:Who is World Champion at this moment in MotoGp????Venneman of course its not Casey its the Ducati you only have to go the results through out the season and see where the other mounted Ducati riders have finished and where their standings are in the current World Championship table, regarding Laguna people who don't make mistakes don't make anything :)

He's already said the crash was his fault, he is not making excuses here he is merely stating the fact that the reason he couldn't continue is the stone in his carburation after the crash and that they've found a setting that will help prevent it happening again.geez what chance has this bloke got, if there is a opportunity to take him out of context you can't wait to jump on him...Also I've seen this interview elsewhere written in a less inflammatory way than Crash.

Salty - give it away, mate, trying to get the Stoner or Rossi haters to be either fair or objective is like trying to fight a sandstorm. They have personality defect problems: Stoner and Rossi have a WC to chase on the track not in any blogs.. The person who wrote the motoGp article is an obvious Wally and anyone who looks for justification of their childish prejudices from articles such as these has cognitive restrictions. Look at the names, all the usual suspects who add nothing to the sum of our understanding of what's really happening in the motoGP world. Be thankful that there are people like Jack Mordino who actually help the rest of us to get our ideas in better shape.

You people are unbelievable. Rossi crashed square into Randy taking him out then restarted no penalty. Casey slides out affecting only himself and is now only giving a reason why the bike didn't continue (NOT AN EXCUSE). I was wondering why the bike stopped working and it is good to hear the answer. It wasn't a fast or heavy crash and they usually restart. He was unlucky and handled it reasonably well.

Also Casey didn't say he would have finished second. CRASH reporters said that. He only said what is in quotes. Check the motoGP site for the real report that hasn't been sensationalised.

Rossi is one of my all-time favourite riders and you fanatical morons make him look bad.

Is it possible that this forum could look past the stoner pisstake?

Casey mentions changes to the bike that drastically reduces the need for lean angle.

One way of doing this is to raise the centre of gravity considerably. This helps the turning effect. Heavier riders need less of a lean angle than lighter riders.

Does anybody know what changes have been made?

regards
Garry
