"...it is my only crash with a Ducati in a race..."

Did he crash so hard that he lost some memory and forgot about Laguna?

It's hard to say if one factory is any more ruthless than another. They are all there to win and increase road bike sales, not simply to make up the numbers, although Yamaha seem to reward loyalty, or punish disloyalty, at any rate. When Sheene left them for Suzuki swearing he'd never ride for them again, only to return to Yamaha a few years later, he complained all the time that he wasn't given a full factory bike. He was a great rider, but when he had the better bike he'd say "But I still had to ride it to 100% to win!" which is rubbish, whereas when Wil Hartog on an inferior privateer bike came third behind Sheene and Roberts works machines, he simply said, "Faster I could not go!"

It looked to me that the camera that looks back at him from the dash had fallen out again [ As it did earlier this year ] You could see it flapping around as he was just about to go back on track. They need to fix that bloody thing. I would just rip it off.

He Does not need to say all that bull.... He got it right the first time. I crashed, it just went, hard luck but thats racing and looking forward to Misano. I like the fact however that Stoner at least has interesting things to say, He puts a different slant on things sometimes. Good or Bad I like it and Comments and Opinions keep us all going b/w races [ things to crap on about ] lol. . . .

Oscar and Salty

We have time on our side these slaggers are really only part time fans because most of the comments are just attacking riders. They should slowly Die out.

Oscar ,Tony Foale is a great reference I wish I had more Time on my side to read more of his Book. Are you on the Chassis list?

He does have a tendancy to overtalk a lot of things... but at least he has character. Not a fan of Casey but how dull would it be if Vale was just running off at the front or Casey was just running off at the front. Im quite happy these two are on the same grid! I think moments like at Brno, Assen or Sachsenring make a championship season for a spectator, they're the bits that get you off your sofa shouting at the tv...

Paul - The camera was hanging off. It was in tact before and during the crash as they used the footage from it in the slow mo replay. Bear in mind he had just thrown his bike into the gravel so there will be damage! The camera came off near the end of the crash.

Oscar, the Stoner haters haven't picked up on Casey's sense of humour and that he was taking the mickey out of C R A S H by telling them a stone lodged in the Carboration (check spelling)even some of the IQ challenged posters realise that the Ducati MotoGp bikes run fuel injection and not CarbUration, but C R A S H didn't as they are trying to stir a wasps nest to get more posters and hence more advertisers, I assume when Casey said it was a perfect stone, he meant the perfect stoner for thowing at Rossi as that was now the only way he could stop Vale from winning the event. Stoner the crows

Just because a bike uses fuel injection doesn't mean it doesn't have carburation. Carburation refers to the fuel air mixing not the method by which it's achieved. And was it meant to be a trick question when you asked people to state how many carbs the Ducati has, and gave the clue that it was between 3 and 5 then Saltbush? I'm not trying to be antagonistic as I'm fed up with the Stoner haters too, even though I support Rossi. Anyone with any knowledge has to respect his ability.

Hi Saltbush, you are correct they do run fuel injection but as Motomito says, carburation refers to the procedure for mixing fuel and air not the physical component. His comments are not just posted by crash either.

Anyway, enough of the soap opera politics and dragging people down lets get back to the racing :)

motomito:you are being picky for the sake of being picky the part of fuel injection and the part of a carburetors where the butterflies are located is called a venturi,if you are not trying to be "antagonistic" why did you answer the post, I do not debate with fools other wise people won't know who is who

YOU are the one who insults people by saying that "even some of the IQ challenged posters picked up on the fact". I've been patient with you, but you obviously either don't know what you're talking about, or, are simply the one trying to stir up a wasp's nest, not Crash.net. If you weren't, then why the daft question. Just so you can sneer at others? As a once race mechanic and racer I don't need telling what a venturi is. Nor is that relevant to your argument.
