"...it is my only crash with a Ducati in a race..."

Did he crash so hard that he lost some memory and forgot about Laguna?

MOTOGP » Stoner stoned in Brno

Casey Stoner could have been denied up to 20 points in Brno by a 'perfectly-shaped' gravel stone...

Saltbush: You've addressed nothing, you just seem to like insulting people. You were plain wrong in thinking that Stoner was making a joke about carbs, and you can't admit it. I went out of my way to show I wasn't making a personal comment and all you can do is try to insult others. If you'd taken the trouble to read what I write and think before posting you'd realise you're making a fool of yourself. Why not read the "Please do not post any personal abuse or attacks" message before you sound off again!

Salty - I just don't want you to blow a gasket, mate. You had good stuff to add to the - to me - fascinating stuff on the whole physics of cornering commentary on the 'set up' thread and it would be terrific if we could get a whole group who can communicate with each other and swap ideas and theories and all maybe get deeper insight into what makes this whole racing thing tick and I think you have ideas to help us all in that.

please dont put people off slagging each/other and the riders off i find it most amusing to read during my lunchbreak i particually enjoy any posts involving saran, salty, ace27(where are you) and the cowan.
Crash should publish yearbook of insults in hardback form with quotes from site members all funds raised could( and this is just a suggestion) go to the 'help layton keske buy a new bike' fund!!

what a good idea...

You have so many things blaming, so many words saying... why don't you accept that it is your own fault not the "perfect sized of gravel" to stop you and forgotten your first crash in laguna. Are you insane or lost some of your memory?

Ronald McDonald better hope that there are more stones to come. The clown will crash like the child he is and Stoner will take the Championship, again.

As I understand it Stoner was simply stating that having made a mistake and crashed he felt it was unlucky that a piece of gravel jammed the throttle butterflies and prevented him picking up any points at all. As the bike was clearly ridable to some degree at least, and given the problems the Michelin riders were having, that's not an unreasonable thing to say at all. I don't know him personally, but Oscar's idea about his character may well be right. In any case, he's a great rider whose putting life and limb on the line for our entertainment as well as his career.

I also do like the comment of Rossi about the fact he says that no human could ride 1.56 and nearly one day later Stoner rides it..
Rossi must be very pleased with Burgess at this moment.. I mean if you see what difference a good setting have done with the Ducati he was able to produce continuesly low and mid 1.56 for a lot of laps.. If he had this setting during the race it would have been a different outcome..
