What's going on? At every GP this season at the end of qualifying I've seen riders practicing their starts - what makes this one different to the rest?!?!?!

Also, why was Stoner shaking his head at Melandri quarter of the way through the session when he had to overtake during a quick lap? Doesn't he realise that in qualifying there is more than one rider on track? He wasn't on qualifying tyres so what was the problem exactly?

well looks like the Yammy''s have some last minit upgrades to their traction/Launch control which might come in handy tomorrow. These may have been the Brno upgrades that Rossi was smiling about. This one is Rossi''s for the picking if Simoncelli doesn''t beat him to it. And in MotoGp if they could sandwich Rossi and Stoner 5th making it a Yamaha 1,2,3,4 maybe the championship will be over soon. :?

Hmm, most interesting and baffling that ALL the Yamahoolie riders were involved in this . . . Wht inevitability do they fear and what strategy will they try to effect !!? Stoner will need to make the start of his LIFE to get clear of the chaos that turn 1 will surely bring !!!

Looks like somebody at Yamaha didn't read the fine print...
I can't help but wonder why this rule is in place for the MGP class, it's not like they could be holding up another class' practice. It's also a lot safer than doing practice starts during a practice session where you could become a hazard to other riders. Excuse my ignorance - but how & when are they supposed to practice getting off the line :?

Getting off the line - that makes me remember Norick Abe, the late master of starts...
