Stoner is a busted flush now. Rossi has messed with his head so much that he thinks the only way he can win is dash to the front and create as big a gap as he can coz he knows head to head in a battle, Rossi will have the beatings of him.
Twice now he has tried this and fallen off in the process.
Game over.

Stoner's crashing series started after Gibernau showed up around the Ducati garage... I wouldn't let him close his curse is contagious :-)

Rossi is in heaven as he won his home GP. I can imagine what is going on there now they are going mad... :-)
Good to see Lorenzo back in form he's not whining just doing a great job on the Michelins. In my opinion he'll be Rossi's main rival next year. He has the balls and personality which missing from Stoner and Pedrobot.

wak- I don't think Ducati will sack him, they know he is still young and inexperienced and they surely know his potential which indeed is great. Maybe they'll just give him a good talking to.

Besides that, they don't really have many other alternatives to a really competitive rider. The only ones I see is Rossi-already signed to Yamaha, Lorenzo-signed to Yamaha at least for next year, Pedrosa- A Honda child, and maybe Dovizioso- probably in HRC for the next 2 years. Given the above, Ducati would be absolute fools to sack their best hope for titles.

If Stoner looses confidence in his bike's electronics, then he may not fall but he will be riding in close formation with his team mate. I think that's what's happening to Melandri. He doesn't trust blindly on the electronics and the bike doesn't provide the necessary feedback for him to go fast.

It just goes to show that the championship doesn't always go to the fastest rider. Rossi has beaten Stoner not because he can lap faster but because he's messed with his mind. Rossi is a much better 'racer' than Stoner & that's what it takes to win.

Stoner has a long way to go to be anywhere near as good as Rossi is. He has a lot to learn.

what the hell are you talking about???
maybe Stoner is a young racer with not too much experience, BUT do you think Ducati will do such a big mistake just to be faster on Fri&Sat???
the Ducati team is very experienced team with plenty of wins and championships(not only MotoGP).
he fell cos he was on the limit cos he was pushing as hard as he could. don't forget his bike is a beast its not a forgiving bike like the Yamaha's.
