Simon is right... Wasn't it Mr Pedrosa that did zero testing, some of it due to injury, then returned to his bike and blamed Hayden when he didn't win races in 2007? (Yes I remember!)

never ever underestimate Dani Pedrosa. Even with that inadequate power of machinery (Honda spring valve), Dani Pedrosa once LEAD the rider standings

and with equal bad luck, Dani still just 2 pts behind the rolling stoner.

Now he had Honda pneumatic valve, and now as it seems had output power that match Ducati's, and equal tyre (Bridgestone), I predict the rolling stoner had his nightmare because there will be 2 riders who can lay down a SERIOUS THREAT for him, and the rolling stoner will do more rolling to kiss the gravel trap since he will PUSH his ducati to it's LIMIT.

so? why could anyone think Dani wouldn't be a world champhion? I think in 2009 Dani would be a strong title contender.

Pacman, the honda was never very underpowered. In quite a few sessions Pedrosa has had the highest top speed of the field. Plus it's quick to accelerate. I think only on very long straits like at Shanghai and Losail that it was slower than the Yam and significantly slower that the Duc. How could Dani possibly have beaten Rossi, Lorenzo and Stoner TWICE if his machine was slow?

I doubt the pneumatic will make much difference until next year when Dani has time to get it set up for himself. But now that his tyres are working I think Dani will win a race or two out of the rest of the season, even though they will be boring.

Pacman. Pedrosa is a ok rider, but it is Honda electronics and extremely low weight that makes him run in the top. We would see better racing and the best RIDERS in top if electronics where baned, and Pedrosa would be no where near the top.

I think Nicky said it right - "The track layout doesn't look so spectacular, because it's inside an oval so there's not a lot of room for them to work with, and it's quite flat"

Track looks like it sucks, plus it looks pretty dangerous. And with the 10 day weather forcast showing rain, it makes it even more dangerous.

I hate the idea of motorcycles racing on an oval or roval, but I guess money talks. And even though I hate the idea, I am still going to it :S If it sucks, this will be the only time they get my money.
