Tyke, I am a Stoner fan, but that doesn't stop me wanting to see Hayden kick some next year.

I want to see Nicky challenge for the championship on the Ducati with RACE WINS- to erase the taint that his '06 championship was the result of pointscoring, not performance.

I want to see Nicky beat Pedrosa & rub his little nose in it.

But most of all I want to see Nicky humiliate the Repsol/Honda/Michelin team.

Those w*^kers have destroyed GP racing from "special" tyres for Doohan to maintain his dominance, to pushing out Nastro Azzuro & Movistar as big time sponsors, to Honda manipulating the tech regs (990's & 800, killing off 250's) to their advantage.

Go Nicky, rub their noses in it!

Not sure if its really that good a move for Hayden or Ducati - you really want somebody who can really get to grips with the Duke and I'm not sure if Hayden is that man. Dont want it to be anothe melandri scenario.

Tell you who is free in 2009 and is out of contract - a certain Troy Bayliss - great rider - bit mature now !!!

he cud have just shut up and left, instead he put out the story of his life.

sounded like an excuse if more than anything else, Nicky is not a fighter, if he knows he's outclassed he'll just take a step back and chill

and i made a comment a cupla months ago about casey doing what he should be doing best....crashing..lol..boy, he's back at it with a vengeance!(think Honda LCR)

Whether you like Nicky or not, you cannot deny that he has taken the treatment he has had in the last couple of seasons from Honda with good grace. He has only now started telling it like it is. He is a class guy.

Who knows how he will go on the Desmosedici ? He may be faster than CS ! After all, how many people predicted Stoner would be quite so fast on a new bike ? Not many.

So, good luck Nicky Hayden. You deserve some.

Personally I don't rate the dude. He's like Toseland, he's good and on the right bike he can be up there occasionally but not at the very sharp end and not often. He just doesn't have that bit extra the top boys have. We all know Rossi lost that championship, not that Hayden won it, and if Rossi's bike had been half as good as a CB250n Super Dream he'd have walked it. Maybe it was the Honda comfort zone and maybe Ducati will be better for him, but I doubt it'll make any odds. Back to the AMA in 2010.....I certainly won't miss his almost unreadable interviews, he makes Beckham look like an orator. 'Well y'all, you know, 'cos, I mean....'sheesh, it's like reading a bad text from a Chav

He won't do any good on the Ducati. Winning the world championship was his ultimate desire and once that was done once you could tell from his demeanour that he'd never do it again. He has lost the fire. If he was in the same league as Stoner and Rossi he would be getting better results right now, whether or not the Honda/Michelin are up to scratch. Stoner rides a bike that no one else can ride. Rossi switched from the perfect Honda V5 on to the ****box Yamaha M1 of the day and rode it straight to the world championship. Nicky is not in that league, you can tell by his whole nice-guy attitude.

Nicky Hayden has another Championship in him and i think this move has provided it for him.He will be more consistant than Stoner but wont win as many races, that is championship winning mentality . As for Honda loyalty even Joey and Rocket Ron had run ins so its nothing new

Pedrosa is so much better than Hayden. hence the treatment he gets from Honda. They believe in him. Hayden is a decent rider but not a reliable one. Period.
wish him luck in Ducati. If he thiks that Dani was not a good teammate, wait till he joins Casey!!!!! hahahahahahaha!!!!
I laughing out so hard already!!! ASK MELANDRI, Y' ALL!!!!

Smutmonkey...funny chav comment, but i gotta admit being a North American in England, though I was never one for the southern twang, his accent sooths my sore (chav / multi accent) bashed ears. I also love his comment "we got spanked this weekend". Hahaha. Anyways, the guy has grown on me and he is humble and respectful, but fact is fact...Yamaha breakdowns and Honda (3rd / 4th) consistancy won him the title in '06. Also his only 3 wins have been (2 home tracks, new to the rest of the field and 1 where a nervous Colin coughed it up in Assen). Hardly champion material (on the track). He lost his home track advantage now and doesnt have it at Indy either. BUT he has the personality of a champ!
