Tyke, I am a Stoner fan, but that doesn't stop me wanting to see Hayden kick some next year.

I want to see Nicky challenge for the championship on the Ducati with RACE WINS- to erase the taint that his '06 championship was the result of pointscoring, not performance.

I want to see Nicky beat Pedrosa & rub his little nose in it.

But most of all I want to see Nicky humiliate the Repsol/Honda/Michelin team.

Those w*^kers have destroyed GP racing from "special" tyres for Doohan to maintain his dominance, to pushing out Nastro Azzuro & Movistar as big time sponsors, to Honda manipulating the tech regs (990's & 800, killing off 250's) to their advantage.

Go Nicky, rub their noses in it!

-say it like it is-
I am not an NH fan but I more like his personality than Pedrosa or Stoner. In the best case with the Ducati NH can be a regular top 6 finisher and sometimes on the podium.
Anyway... NH delivered the last WC for Honda and I think HRC expected Pedrosa to be dominant in the championship by now but it is just not going to happen anytime soon - if ever will. They are changing tires midseason and I wouldn't be surprised if it will not bring the desired results in the last five races they will suggest some rule changes to Dorna to make sure Pedrosa will be title contender next year. :-) I know it sounds like a conspiracy theory but who knows they are trying desperately.

Despite some of the comments here, I'm a fan of young Caseys', however, it wouldn't worry me one bit if Hayden took the Duc by the scruff of the neck and pulled of the '09 c'ship. Probably a bit of a pipe dream I know, but this guy is a dead set top bloke and deserves more success. Unfortunately, there's a full team behind him that have also put up with the crap all year. Best not think about the politics behind this game (reminds me of F1) or I might just watch the dicovery channel on a Sunday night instead.
None of these guys are mugs,

So will there be any Cold war between Hayden and Stoner in 2009 season (just like it happened between Hayden and Pedrosa) :? Wonder which rider gets more preference from Ducati since Hayden and Stoner got 2006 and 2007 titles respectively...time will only tell!

The writing was on the wall 2 years ago when there was no real response from Honda to Pedrosa deciding to do his best to torpedo Hayden out of the world championship.

I still find it difficult to believe what a gentleman NH remained during the press conferences that followed, when just about every journalist tried to get him to say something bad about his "team-mate".

NH may not be the best rider in the world, but he's a dam good one and I for one can't wait to see him back on something which isnt designed to fit a rider the size of Kylie!

Look at all the Nicky haters coming out in packs! Obviously, there are people in the MotoGP paddock that know more about racing than any of us that rate him so who cares about what you armchair experts think? I've never seen a former Champ get so much grief.

Some are blaming HRC for the problems, but it is really the sponsor REPSOL that has paid the bills and built the pit box wall between Nicki and Dany. I knitted the blanket that is hung between them.

Did REPSOL sell more products in the US in 2006/7 because of their investment in Nicki? no.

REPSOL pushed for Dany's tyre change and likely footed the bill for the special bits - like the forks - that only Dany got. So, HRC are still nice people, but REPSOL is paying the bills and Puig has their ear.

Don't bust NH's not riding when DP did the same thing w/his hand.

Dani is a better on the equipment this year, but he is no Champion.

If you are so upset by Nicky's treatment that you aren't going to buy a Honda product, I'd like to suggest some alternatives that are more deserving:

* boycott RedBull
The RedBull caps that Nicky is forced to wear. These are butt ugly and also are on his helmet that obviously caused him to ride worse than in 2006 when he had not red bull carp on his head gear.

* boycott Oakley
These "oil rig" glasses he wears are too heavy and are a symbol of Yankee imperialism. They should go.

* boycott Michelin
They have screwed all the fans with many races not being competitive.

* boycott Puig
Don't look at the man. He wanted everyone not to ride on Michelins... what an attention *****.

a great rider imo, should have left Honda years ago. Had, what looks like from the outside, no support off Honda, Dani had more support even in NH c/ship year. Hope he does well @ Ducati......I think he will.
To the Rossi fanboys......give it a rest!!! we all know Rossi is goooood! but Hayden & Stoner beat him, end of. The Championship is over a season, they all have some kind of bad luck, bike breakdown, an off, etc, thats racing! Fanboys???.....dont even like that word.....got a chavie sound to it.
