Tyke, I am a Stoner fan, but that doesn't stop me wanting to see Hayden kick some next year.

I want to see Nicky challenge for the championship on the Ducati with RACE WINS- to erase the taint that his '06 championship was the result of pointscoring, not performance.

I want to see Nicky beat Pedrosa & rub his little nose in it.

But most of all I want to see Nicky humiliate the Repsol/Honda/Michelin team.

Those w*^kers have destroyed GP racing from "special" tyres for Doohan to maintain his dominance, to pushing out Nastro Azzuro & Movistar as big time sponsors, to Honda manipulating the tech regs (990's & 800, killing off 250's) to their advantage.

Go Nicky, rub their noses in it!

Motomad, I believe you meant to say "allowed" rather than "aloud".

RW, good point about the overall points standings, but when I think about the big picture I see Honda with the biggest budget & the most bikes on the grid, yet only one of those bikes was in contention for the championship. The RC212v certainly isn't the worst ride out there (the Kawi holds that title by far), but I see them generally dicing with the Suzukis and remaining 3 Yamahas (when their Michelins aren't working).

Here's how I see it: If all of the teams were on B-stones, I feel the Yamahas would be piling up @ the top of the standings after Rossi, Pedrosa and Stoner. The remaining Hondas and Suzuki next, with Kawi bringing up the rear (which is sad, because Hopper is great.)

I think Hayden is going to love all the support he's gonna get from Ducati. They are a small company & always give full support to their racers. Unlike HRC that listen to their test riders & pass off the racers opinions a whining, (i.e. Nicky Hayden, remember 2006?) A rider can only push the bike as far as the development will let them. & if you're not part of the development process than you have a season like Nicky is having this year. I think he'll do great on a Ducati. Maybe even better than Stoner.....

I think a lot of people are forgetting that Padrosa carries the almightly clout of Repsol behind him, Those Spaniards will move heaven and earth to get there lad to the top. Haden was always going to play second best once Padrosa got in the team.
Stoner needs someone to ride shot gun for him to give him the chance to break from the front. Hayden could well be the man with a sideways Ducati.

I'm so disapointed with Honda. In my opinion They haven't treated Hayden as the champion he is.
When they should help him to defend the title, they built a small bike for
another rider.
Nicky we love you and support you. Good luck wherever you will go..
your biggest fan in the States!

Good move by NH. Glad he is getting away from Repsol Honda and onto the Ducati. Also, let's not forget that the Ducati is not just painted red because it is a Ducati, but that it has substantial American tobacco sponsorship from Marlboro. Kentucky is tobacco country. He may get more help in the Ducati garage then most of us realize at this time.

DanisMom - your posts stopped being funny about the 3rd time you made one. Please, think quality over quantity. Trust me, you will be better off. Put more time into thinking up something funny, then think about it a little bit more, then maybe a little bit more, and then if after that you still think it will be funny - then you should post it. :)

As for the discussion, I don't think Nicky will set the world on fire on the Ducati, but it can't be any worse than the Honda. I think it's funny people just see things how they want to see them. First they say that Casey is a 250 rider, then the prospect of Hayden joining him comes up and now he's a dirt tracker... cont'd...

... suddenly he's a dirt tracker and since Nicky is a dirt tracker then by that logic Nicky will be good on the Ducati.

Only time will tell as to whether or not Nicky will get on good with the bike. I think he'll do ok, but I don't see him dominating like Casey did last year. Especially not since some of the other manufacturers have caught up to a degree.

BUT - i'm starting to like the guy more now that he's leaving Honda :) I may even cheer for him next year :)
