Trying to compare Stoner to Rossi is ludicrous.

Stoner is a good, not great, rider, who meshed with a bike for one season. Its interesting to watch him fall apart now that Rossi has pressured him. His record this year proves he's not a great rider.

Rossi is a GREAT rider who has proven he can ride the wheels off anything you put under him. he's proven he can win under any and every condition.

Rossi will go down as the greatest GP rider ever. Stoner will be a footnote mentioned in the same breath as Biaggi and Sete.

1. We are nothing compared to Rossi...he shares his greatness with us and we are honoured to simply to speak of his achievements simply because we were fortunate to witness them. We never get the feeling he feels he is better than us, even though he is! A true champ and leader makes YOU feel great when THEY win!

2. Haydon has proven to me at least he is a true champ also, even though I was never a fan until i witnessed how great a character he was in both victory and defeat! About coming in second at his home GP Haydon said "There aint much shame in being beaten by Rossi"..."conditions were tough today, look at the podium..it took 3 world champions".

God damn class act..Rossi too!

3. Gotta respect a dude who has millions (money), yet dresses like a quirky college kid in some frumpy jeans and a t-shirt. I don't see the guy draped in "Bling" like every other piece of noveax **** trying to rub their wealth in our faces these days!

Rossi is in his own refreshing world where he has made the colour yellow cool! How the hell did that happen? How did he come to own the colour yellow?!?! That's an achievement in and of itself!!

Ducati has loned Stoner red for the time being, but the dude better claim a shade if he wants to be great. Better hurry cause gold just got picked up!

When Vale retires, we will have lost such a fun, yet awesome sportsperson.

Tiger Woods, Pete Sampras take note.

Vale is the ULTIMATE sportspersonality.

We're left with Jorge Lorenzo, to his credit his is a great talent, and always has a smile on his face.

Lorenzo, Hayden, Dovi - all these people will keep the fun in MotoGP, but never with such enthusiasm as Vale.

Suckmoan. Sick around a while and your compatriates might be back (I assume you are an Aussie because of the name calling, forgive me if I'm wrong). If you havn't got the time, then try to find some posts from ACE 27, Marty Cowan etc (you know who I mean). Click on their names and and you will see lists of pointless jealous bile against Rossi and blinkered, patriotic rantings about Stoner. You might have to back along way though as it has been a bit quiet recently from the bitter side of the planet.

moansuck, although I hate to say it because I like your name, you are the blinkered one sonny jim. Can't you read? Like I said there is not one post on here about Rossi being crap. And did I say it either? Try reading for once. And try watching some races without your idiot goggles on and you will see how good Stoner actually is rather than just listening to his post-race interviews.

I take it you have never ridden a bike? If you had then you would understand. Loser.

Fantastic result by Rossi, he can do anything. Clearly the Yamaha is the dominant bike now too, with Lorenzo well and truly up there. Despite the incredible weather I actually found the race pretty boring - that's traction control for you I guess. Did anyone crash out in the rain? No. Without TC we would have seen a lot more slippery-slidey action. People have criticised other riders so much for using traction control but Rossi clearly reaped the benefits this time -just like everyone else.
