Am I the only one who thinks one tyre manufacturer is a bad thing? If this had been introduced 2 years ago then we would have Michelins not Bridgestones. Where is the incentive for the selected manufacturer to innovate and strive for advances in grip? Isn't Moto GP supposed to be about developement? Michelin could have got away with producing the same old rubbish year after year and no-one would have been the wiser without a competitor to keep them honest.

So that''s means just let Stoner start 30 seconds earlier or let him lead wouldn''t be a problem .. let Stoner race alone in the front, maybe he will arrives in the gravels again... :p
while Rossi could just having fun with Dani and Jorge in the middle.

I read on a dutch site that there will be 1 tire manufacture for next year. Every tire manufacture can bid for the contract but Bridgestone gets the most support for being the tire manufacture for next year.

That is sad news........

I heard it is a done deal and an official announcement is imminent (it was mentioned by the guest on the WSBK coverage on eurosport, sorry I can't think of his name).

I think a contol tyre is a good thing. I am sure we all care more about good, close, fair racing than what tyres the riders are on. Too many races have been spoilt (in a "what might have been" way) in recent years because a few riders cannot compete simply because the tyres were not up to it.

Lets face it, there are not enough bikes out there now and to have them split into two groups, many seconds apart, because one tyre manufacturer cannot produce the goods is not a good thing.

lets not forget, valentino brought the championship home on micheline tires and now bridgestone,,so he has done both unfortunetly seems michelin have not worked well so they need to get lost and bring bridgstone in for all so we can have a fair race were we dont have to listen to the excuse of the tires anymore and see who really is the man out there..I bet It still is rossi for a long while yet..GO VALE,,Bet if you had a bad hand you would still race and win.....

"Bet if you had a bad hand you would still race and win..."... maybe, but let's be fair, he had a bad hand at Assen in 2006 and he didn't do very well...

Go Vale, personally I'd love to see him take the win and chapionship at Philip Island... just to rub the salt in a bit harder...

Control tyres = great. Will make for great racing... have you watched WSB this year?

Lorenzo deserves Bridgestones next year 'cos he's great, but once again, alot of the development work is already done for him... Bravo for control tyres!
