Anybody willing to take a bet that Dovi will find himself barred from the best parts HRC can provide next year? It happened to Hayden.. even with no 'wall' down the middle of the pits, Puig isn't going to let Repsol money be spent on other than a Spanish rider. I hope Dovi can ride around it, he's very good, but if he doesn't command the No.1 points position by say 5 races into the season he'll be frozen out.

re MCN: MotoGP will adopt a one-make tyre rule in 2009, with Bridgestone the exclusive supplier.

Hope he isn't frozen out! He's been my rider of the year, showing some if the big boys what to do!

Well done on to him getting a factory ride, well deserved!

Great 'news', I'm happy that the deal didn't backfire at the last minute.
Dovi is a great rider and a mature character, he could have been 250 champ as well had Honda put some energy in development of their 250 machine (but they were to busy pulling out) yet he never complained.
Let's hope he doesn't end in the position of Hayden, who also never complained...
It will be interesting to see how Dovi copes with the Bridgestones and team structure, not all's warm and fuzzy at HRC.

Good luck Dovi! :)

well, this post is probably going to cause world war three with the hopkins, et al other out there, but IMHO we now have the best three riders on the best three bikes suited to their riding styles, the young pretenders 5 and the maestro, another interesting year coming up....

I'll support you FR if it comes to a bit of "trench warefare" in WW3 :)

Will his machine be that far away from Dani's, I doubt it. Even if it is he will still be up there with the best of them. He was giving them a run for his money this season on what is probaly an inferior machine to the Repsol ones, so I think Dani and the rest had better watch out.

Nice for them. But next season will be dominated by Yamaha's and Ducati (Stoner). Maybe Dani will win a race or two, but There will not be a repsol world champion next year thats for sure
