Here's a way out thought guys....

Who cares about a single tyre rule?? Personally I watch MGP to see who is the BEST RIDER not who has the best tyres.

If they all start on a level playing field, all with the same tyres, nobody with an advantage over anyone else IMHO it's a good thing.

All I wish for now is a total ban on all electronic aids and a return to 990cc so we can really see who is the BEST RIDER and not who has the best tyres or best electronic package.

Am I the only one who is happy at this first step???

If it isn't broke, dont try to fix it. BridgeStone sucked for the longest time, now they're on top and they decide to go to a one tire rule. This is a prototype series. More rules means less fun for everyone. It is a shame that the tire war is coming to an end.

This is madness!! how can they lessen the side grip for slower cornering speed?? If safety is what they want, wgy not sit back on your sofa and grab the console of your playstation. Definitely the restrictionss killing the sport..I have been following up motogp for years and that's because of me seeing the riders making impossible possible by going beyond limits..By implementing the single tyre rule, the performance development will not be as drastic as compared when there are competition with other manufacturers.. It doesn't make sense at all!!! :?

How do you figure Keith? Whether 2nd or 3rd at the end of this year, I doubt CS would lay blame on his tyres when Rossi was also on bridgestones. Crap biased comment son.

Everybody knew this rule had to come, I reckon you can blame Rossi and Pedro for it's introduction. They should have grown some balls and stuck with Michelin and not been so impatient. Instead they wanted a piece of the BS pie that Stoner had been helping develop. The irony now for Stoner is that he faces getting second rate Shinkos because the financial influence the Iti and Spaniard have. ******' mafioso!
I'd like to see anyone prove me wrong!

Nothing to do with safety or even the pecking order between Bridgestone or Michelin. It doesn't matter if one tyre supplier is stronger than the other, that's entirely normal. The problem has been that with the capacity and tyre limitations in one year all of a sudden we had the all the big money players totally hamstrung by under-performing tyres. That was not normal and that's why there has been such a fuss. Now everyone wants to be on Bridgestone - who just can't supply 90% of the grid and expect to compete with Michelin. I guess at the end of the day the powers that be decided that the tyres had become too big an issue and maybe they're right. Though I am sad to see the competition go

What this morons and many Sport directors do not understand, is that Fans keep the money flowing, sponsors would not give a rat's *** who wins if they did not make money out of it. Fans like competitiveness, they should keep Fans happy and only then advertising would work better, and sponsors would make money. I***t sport director should be banned, you can see all this crap politics and silly rules a 1000 km away!

Yeah Bob, you are so right. Rossi should have been patient and waited for Mich to catch up and let Stoner win another WC rather than switching and giving himself a chance to compete. That makes perfect sense! Where would Rossi's championship be if he had been 30 seconds behind with the other Michelin runners in Laguna Seca and Brno? Stoner wouldn't have been pressured, could have lapped .7 of a second slower and still won, wouldn't have binned 3 times in a row. How selfish of Rossi to want a chance to compete on equal tyres. I'm sure when he is celebrating regaining the championship (when it comes) in the back of his mind he will be thinking, "if only I had the balls to stick with Michelin".
