No, no, it's a cunning Rossi plot, to make Stoner THINK he's fast, then in the race he'll ride slow and Stoner will turn around to see where Rossi is and fall off from laughing, Rossi is the old fox, you'll see

Actually Rossi is running tyres made from old socks to give Stoner a chance, because he's such a good sport, but Rossi is SO GOOD he gets best time even on old socks..

Or, for the intellectually unchallenged, Rossi is giving it a damn good go because, as he always does, he wants to win, and it will be a fair and honest race. But that would spoil a good fantasy, wouldn't it? Sorry I mentioned it...

I think Rossi is just trying to build a picture on stoner''s mind that he''s unbeatable, so that ''Dön''t dream too much of GP 9, it won''t be much better ,brother!... Anyway i do look forward to great battles.. Rossi GOOO!!!

You got it Fromage :) Remember the Jerez race? Race result was the vindication of Rossi's decision to switch his M1 to Bridgestones. Rossi went on to finish a splendid 2nd place in that race, still remember many experts have said that Jerez is another Michelin track! They've said Rossi's podium chances quite difficult but Rossi accepted that challenge and broken it :p

Meantime, in the real world, Dani seems to be struggling to get a competitive time. Sukhoi, I agree, Rossi 2007 on Michelins had no damn chance, 2008 is a great WC win for him because he beat a good competitor in Stoner. Stoner won 2007 because he rode the best package very well, to suggest he is no good takes away from Rossi the excellence of his 2008 WC.

Here is what Bayliss thinks about Rossi and Stoner ( when asked about fastest riders:"A [Pause] Well, I think it's got to be Valentino, actually.
Yeah. Because he's just [pause] just a - he's just like another cut above everybody else. Casey, at this moment in time, is probably the fastest man in the world, on earth, like with a no fear type attitude. But as far as like class goes and day in-day out, it's Valentino Rossi."
