Wow, Ducati really screwed the pooch on that one..... anyone else watch the timing?

They completely mistimed Casey''s qualifying so he missed his final run by about 15 seconds. On a drying track that''s a crucial mistake.

"bad luck to Stoner holding off to go out at the last minute didn't help you this time"

'HE' never held off till the last minute. He did a couple of runs, his last one put him in pole. Ducati just screwed up the timing and he never got his last run. Everyone else did, and vaulted past on a quickly drying track.

He's one of the best starters so 7th isn't too bad.

Really good job by Dani!

Casey should be alright there's a very long straight which will suit his style...

I'm afraid being clever and leaving it to the last minute was the sole reason for him being 7th.... pressure does strange things to people...

"Looks like it's going to be a good race. Lets see if Stoner can battle through the field like Rossi did at PI. Something tells me he wont."

Rossi is a crap starter, he's admitted himself it's his only real weakness. Casey will have no trouble moving up from 7th. I'd bet a good sum he'll be at least 3rd or 4th by turn one.

RX-I like the way you put 'they mistimed Casey's qualifyiing' very casey like.. :)

On the commentary on Motogp website, it said that the engineers convinced him to go out on a qualifier when he wanted to put another soft tyre in....just put it down to experience in tricky conditions but it is what it is..

His bike is fast enough to overtake all the others on the straight so he'll be OK..
