Just read on the motogp website about yamaha not going carbon fibre for 2009...i think this is the right choice to make...

There's nothing wrong with the way the bike handles when it comes to flicking it right to left, its the best bike for cornering out there...seems they are just going for more horsepower and some new electronics...if they get both of them and the new tyre rule works ok on the yamaha..Rossi and Lorenzo are gonna be a tough team to beat next season...

Have to see what sort of times they post on monday after the gp, but im looking forward to seeing what they bring out..

I think the jury's out on carbon fibre until everyone sees what happens with the Ducati next year. If it roars away, you gotta bet that everyone's gonna jump on board pretty quick.

Hear hear Appie! :)

The GP9 pictures that have emerged so far show a machine with only Carbon in the steering department, further down it seems to have square section tube with a small cross section, possibly steel alloy (it is too small to be aluminium).
It will be interesting to see if there are some new pics coming after the tests :)
Furusawa explained that Yamaha is looking to dapt the next M1 more to the Bridgestone tyres using this years data,
question is if it will work as good with the new tyres supplied nest year under the single tyre rule.

Welcome back Sete! Personally I wish Sete reviving back old battles with Valentino once he settles with his new Duc and tyres. Or I think he gonna end up races like JT, Dovi et al in the mid positions? Or even podium contender too. What you think Mansi?
