Speaking of Spies, the reason he's not in GP's is that he thinks he's worth a lot more than the GP teams did. Maybe he's right, maybe not. I suppose we'll have to just watch WSBK and find out.

2Stroke.. I agree with your comments.. but 9 wins and 30 podiums puts sete slightly higher in estimation that a test rider though.

lets see his times on monday and then race pace in 09, i expect top 5 consistantly come season start.

And the Young guns in motoGp were all beaten this year by the 'old' Rossi. Ditto doohan who was 29 when he won his first title, he was 33 when he won his last.. age has nothing to do with anything otherwise melandri/de angelis would be further up the field.

There is a rumour of some 'smallprint' in Spies contract that enables him to switch to Tech3 Yamaha for 2010.
Hervé Poncharal denies it.

I can't understand why everyone is so excited to see Gibbers coming back. Yes he was fast, & yes he gave Rossi a run for his money but why dig Sete up again & not give the ride to a younger rider.
I think that Dorna should get Schwantz & Doohan back on a bike, they were also very very good riders but like Sete, probably couldn't hack it now. Maybe the could get KR Snr again or even Ago!!

Thought we'd seen the last of this guy when Rossi got to him awhile ago, think he's dilooooded if he thinks he can cut it, there's some serious young nutters out there now who have a point to prove, gibbers will just be in the way. :)

Morgue - Spies contract is with Yamaha like Edwards. If Yamaha decided to let Spies ride the Tech3 bike I dont think Tech3 would be in a position to say no.

Gibbers knows he can't beat Rossi, he lost to Rossi at his peak and he had a better bike than VR at the time. However Stoner ended his career and beating him on the same bike would seriously raise his profile for a factory bike next year. Reckon that will be his first target..Go Gibbers
