for me personally i think not having signed Ben Spies was a Huge mistake by suzuki
i think in some level Ben deserves a ride in Motogp not in WSB but maybe he is just using it as a step in the ladder to make it all the way to motogp.

for me Spies in Suzuki with amount of money he wanted to earn he would be another Hopkins in Kawasaki, so whoever is with Rizla guys it doesn't matter.

Massive leap forward... right. So why hire a has been and a guy who rarely performs. Suzuki isn't really interested in MotoGp but will put the bucks in AMA. Although I'm not clear on the new rules yet.

Suzuki seems satisfied to "participate", probably to just ad street cred to their production bikes.

As far as Spies...not getting the seat at Suzuki was probably his BEST career move. Say he did..& not only had to learn the tracks but also develope this dog...he'd probably be following West to WSS..ie. oblivion.

Suzuki seems using last year spec. engine, did you see the Yam made a passes on Suzuki along the straight?
Just like Ducati passed The Yam a year ago at china, but with a shorter track.
Surely will be a hard job for suzuki team to be competitive in next year.

Maybe Suzuki should have offered up their bikes for Michelins,they need some sort of divide between them and the bigger players because the machinery isn't up to the task,we could also have avoided the single tyre rule if the split was enough between manufacturers tyre deals,Ducati were willing to switch their 5 bikes to keep competition alive

Suzuki's race dept is tiny even compared to Ducati's so they do ok and their expectations are obviously mid pack with good PR,they even sponsor MotoGP on Eurosport (well thats finished now). The fault with the Suzuki MotoGP team is a big name rider. Shwantz and Roberts JR are the biggest talents they have had in recent times and both delivered. Forget Spies he a money chaser like Hopper, Suzuki should get hold of Simoncelli or Bautista fast.
