You''ll never know what can happen if you don''t try:) Great! That''s the true about Marco:
Kawasaki has first time in their team a rider who few times won race, there was McCoy also but the bike was green Hulk:P Marco is different, he is consistent on right machine and I suppose if Kawasaki will listen to him and will learn from him Melandri will bring back his best honda shows  Repsol was somehow impossible, Ducati maybe unsuitable (Rossi/Burgess both knew it wasn''t the right bike) but onboard ZX-RR lottery may change to better.

When I saw that bike move around under him yesterday, I thought it shure isn't for a lack of trying. Such a shame for Marco last year! I'm happy for Marco and Kawasaki that they got a good start! I hope this fires the factory up!

This bodes well for Marco, here is hoping the bike suits him and he can take it to new highs and the factory supports him likewise.

Good that Melandri is up to speed right away on the Kawa. I just wonder if they are using the screamer engine now, all they said was they tried different spec engines?

They gave up on the screamer engine I believe.

Good to see him "upto speed"

But they have a mammoth task, arguably best rider line up they've had, need a strong engine, keep a good handling bike and build the bike round the tyres to have sucess next season which I believe they can do!

Riders like Melandri need a fully developed armchair.
Yes, the Ducati is a bit of a brute compared with the ultra refined gresini honda he was used to, but considering the bucks he was paid, surely he should have got to grips with it.
Just not up to the job, and will probably be no more successful than hopper has been on the green dust cart.
Move over and let the quick boys by.

We shell see, after all the good food Marco will eat at x-mass evening he might get slow again til it is time for a new contract. He will be a back marker also next year

The only riders who could get that wheelbarrow any where are Stoner and Rossi. Dont think Melandri will be able to do it and Hpkins has demonstrated he cant.

it's not the riders.... kawasaki need to change their ways if they're to improve.
as much as i'd like to see Marco on the podium it's highly unlikely to happen again.

Put Stoner or Rossi on the Kawa and you will see that the bike can go faster. I agree that Hopper is faster than how it seemed this year, but he is not better than top 5-6 on a regular basis anyway.
Melandri is as Belly say, is a cat! I can't remember when a factory rider was a a back marker every race! He might be faster than Hopper some races, but if things gets hard Hopper will out perform him on the average.
