Although Valentino Rossi''s accomplishment for the past 5 years speaks volumes over the others, this will simply be a popularity contest and Rossi will win by a great margin.

"RXRacer, you are bitter aren't you shame cos most enjoyed the battle between the two and Rossi this time round deserved it quite simply."

Huh? blah blah, did you even read past the first paragraph, or just decide to shoot your mouth off cos your a Rossi sheep and I offended you?

I made it very clear that just because I'm an aussie and cheer for Casey, I still voted Rossi 10/10, higher than I did Casey.

And Doodaa, I didn't hear alot of people write Rossi off last year. And how do you know they were all Stoner fans? Did you do a census or something? I like Rossi. He's an awesome rider and I would never write him. Another angry, immature post from you.

I actually meant to direct the last part of my comment at Megnetti Marinara, not Doodaa.

Having said that, I meant what I said about Doodaa's comment. Why are you so hateful and critical?. Must be a really unhappy world you live in.

There's no reason to write any of the top riders off. Casey, Dani & Lorenzo have all faced their own particular hardships this year, and Rossi in 2006 and 2007. And they've all shown a great ability to bounce back. Writing any of them off is either uneducated, or wishful thinking.

I voted Rossi,Stoner, with lorenzo and dovi on equal footing as they have both had excellent years with lorenzo winning and dovi being very consistent top 5 on a private (albeit very well sponsored by honda) bike.

All you muppets who are stoner/rossi backbiters just SHUT THE HELL UP!! its over now children you will have to wait till next year. God its veeeery boring watching every post turn into a "you said this " "i said that" tit for tat ball-ache!

Ta.

Have to almost agree with layton, though I would pick Pedrosa for third best. Dodgy tyres all year, a couple of injury rides and a switch of tyres. Rossi was the clear winner, a total package, have to love the way he can chase people down and overtake in places where other racers would not even dare to do, hence he picks his way through the pack, Stoner a clear second, his two falls from the front effectively lost him 60 points to Rossi and were purely caused by pushing the envelope as he does, the idea Rossi got into his head was real in Laguna, the other two drops were just pushing too damn hard, and fourth goes to both Lorenzo and Dovi, who will be hard contenders next year.

Yam46 - how did it cost sixty points?? not arguing just can:t work it out.. :?

I thought that if stoner won both and ROssi was second then it would have been 10 points Casey saved????

RXRacer-- you don't remeber hearing a lot of people write Rossi off last year???

Funny you'll not find a fan of anyone else on here who didn't remember and many who have admitted when Rossi won that they also thought he didn't have it in him...

You a lot like a 90 odd year old person, very weak, and with a cronic case of selective hearing/reading..and obviously talks through a colostomy bag..

Doodaa, Yam46 is saying if CS had won both races instead of crashing out, then he would be 50points better off and if VR had been the best of second to CS both times, then he would be 10 points worse off. Therefore CS would have been closer to VR by 60points. See, easy when you gone further than 3rd grade maths! Your giving your true age away.....again.

My vote would be for marco Simoncelli but he won't appear for a year or so until we rid MotoGP of the supersport six hundred jockies and the has and never beens. As for this year and the last 6 years it has to be VR. No one in the same class. The only REAL opposition rides (or has been) in WSBK, Max Biaggi and the only man who could have challenged Rossi regularly over the years - some (cough, cough) Ocker , Troy Bayliss.

All of you people are way way off!! Nicky Hayden is the best rider in the world period. He is the greatest champion that MotoGP has ever seen. You will all see this again next year, and the year after that...and the year after that....
