Motorsport is really dieing a death at the hands of these geeks. Motogp is going the same way as F1. They are going to have to start rigging races f1 stylee if they don''t stop this crap.

Dino Zoff said: "Also, I don't think bike manufacturers entirely rely on racing to develop cutting edge technology."

Absolutely. Look at ABS! It was never developed in motoGP or superbike and it is now becoming standard on all bikes (even on sport bikes with honda, starting next year).

So get rid of the damn traction control in racing and develop it for road bikes on the side, as with ABS.

Do you mean why is it that Stoner seems to come in last on the warm up, only to filter up to the front?

On the warm up lap, the riders have to stay (approximately) in order. It's actually a tiny advantage to pull up last, because your tires have a little bit less time to cool down.

But, this would mean that the person on pole would have icy cold tires, and it might thus not be the best spot on the grid. To counteract this, the pole sitter is allowed to go around wherever he wants. Normally he picks last because it means he has the warmest tires.

The reason you think Casey is always the slowest is that he has a knack of getting that pole position...

WTF... Those Bikes even have GPS!! in 2 or 3 years ahead the rider probably just need to lean right or left, no needs for throttling, Braking etc.. because all is automatic, also at the final lap the bike will automatically do a wheelie crossing the finish line.. COOL ... my @ss

I think its quite ridiculous that people think that traction control can make someone better than they actually are. You'll find its still the better riders at the front race by race as it was before the TC had such a big part to play. It certainly aids the riders but does not make a slower rider significantly quicker.
It has only made the racing more predictable as it has given the better riders a slightly larger margin over the slower ones than they had before.
We need to accept it has a place in the sport now, most WSB, WSS, BSB, and BSS teams use it. I even see it getting used at club level. Its just the next step in the evolution of the bike.

Dunst, think what you want but Casey almost always lift up his arm and signaling all the others to pass him whatever he is on pole or not. And he doesn't really ride harder towards the end of the lap to heat the tires up, he doesn't really seems to be concerned about the tire temperature, and he is usually fast from the first lap, so I guess he manage to handle cold tires on the first lap. I think that he do that exactly to save as much fuel so his ECU will not start to cut on the fuel flow towards the end.

A good starting point would be to ban most of these sensors and the GPS.
GPS is great to find your direction, but this application is wrong for
Motogp racing.
I think they should also reduce the width of the wheels. I believe the
maximum allowed width currently is 6.25 inches. By reducing the width of
the rims corner speed could decrease.

Hmm, what next? Follow on from the aviation industry and have pilotless machines whizzing around? Great fun!

What ever they are doing to the bikes at the moment, it needs to change because MOTOGP is now bloody boring. The 125's and 250's are brilliant to watch. If it keeps going the way it is, i think that WSB will gain all the viewers lost by Moto GP.

Ban all the rider aids. I prefer Doohans oulook in the 500's, he reverted back to the harder to ride screamer engine to give himself an edge.
