Well done Frank, I am sure you are the 1 who has agreed, dont try and use to many brain cells.

It's amazing when we see Rossi get beaten, the rules suddenly get changed. It's all about TV and ********* and DORNA know this all lays with Rossi and why everything goes the way of Rossi, what he wants he gets.

Some of you may think he the G.O.A.T, and to a certain degree you are correct.

Rossi is the DORNA G.O.A.T. Rossi the world champion as produced by DORNA.

The Morgue, I think he changed his mind when he saw the battle between the "incredibles" Rossi VS "The Lightning Fast" Stoner this season and a series of accidents he had this year, he probably has think it over again.

But who knows, Jorge seem have some Rossi's skill alike just little wild and abrupt in action.. it just a matter of time before he get mature and then he'll as strong as Rossi.

Rob#46, Sorry, I didn't understand your comment, please elaborate.
In case you read something into my last post, all I said was...considering the number of spills, injuries and missed races, 4th for the season was a good result. One I doubt he would have achieved in a non-factory team. '09 will see more competition for George and I don't think he's learned enough to prevent him from tasting the tarmac once or twice next season.

WOW Bob....

"One I doubt he would have achieved in a non-factory team."
Why do you think that JL cannot pull of what he did this year on a non - factory team. All I saw this guy do was ride his but- off many times coming from way at the back to get to the front. The guy was a two times 250cc World Champ in 2006 and 2007. Rather harsh judgement for a Rookie that earned 4th place.
I would not bet that he cannot get 1st or 2nd for 2009. Especially since he showed that he can ride injured and still kick ast without nary a complaint, unlike some other rider(s).
In case you forgot Stoner's 3 years was 8th, 1st and 2nd. Dani's was 5th, 2nd and 3rd.

JL is a fast rider but he had also the best material available last year.. (only except for his tyres on certain circuits) With the new tyre rule you can expect that the development on tyres will be close to zero. This means that the set up on the bikes will be crucial for better results. Rossi and Stoner are already familiar with the tyres and have proven to have the speed last year (Stoner also with the GP9 in Valencia with the new tyres!!) And with the disapearance of the qualifiers and the fast laps Stoner normally make on race tyres, I forsee a tough job for JL to improve on Rossi and Stoner..

David Smith sounds like a real tosser, Of course Bridgestone are going to listen to the world champ for development as he has been winning races and especially when he had no data at the begining of the year but still seemed to get the set up right. In my book that makes him a prime candidate for development purposes. Tyres dont make people win its the whole package crew, rider and bike set up so wake up and give credit were credit is due!!

David Smith, did Rossi not beat Casey with more or less exactly the same regulations as last year? Yamaha simply provided Rossi with a slightly quicker motor, Rossi changed tyres to the superior brand and hy presto, Rossi beats Casey. The goal posts wern't moved at all this year. Your point about the rules being changed to enable Rossi to beat Casey etc makes no sense whatsoever, he's just handed it to them all this year ! :?

David Smith - if you follow the sport closely you'd know that it was Honda that was pushing for a change to 800's (that was as they were winning a championship with Hayden - ie: Rossi got beat). So explain why all major changes come when Rossi loses? It wasn't DORNA wanting to go to 800's, it was Honda and the other Japanese factories agreed.

The reason the rules have continued to be changed each season since then has nothing to do with Rossi either - they keep getting changed because ever since the 800's came the series is as about exciting to watch was watching paint dry. They are losing fans not because Rossi lost, but because the series is becoming boring.

Dray, I think you are very optimistic to think JL would have achieved 4th on a non-factory bike, but that's just my opinion. He is good, but being Rossi's team mate got him 2 or 3 extra positions by the end of the year with Michelin data etc. Remember he is in an 8x world champs shadow with a crew chief whose won many more than that.
I'm not sure what Stoner and Pedros stats have to do with my comment and to be honest, the only harsh thing about my comment, is the way you've responded to it. It sounds like you believe he could have won on the Krapasaki! Get real.

Well, Andrea Dovizioso scored overall 5th position on a satellite team. If Jorge was on a satellite team also (lets say as Andrea team mate ?), I think he's still at the current 4th position overall anyway from the skill and statistical point of view.

But Hey ... That Krapasaki is a factory team :p
BTW to transmutes a "krapasaki" into a real "Kawasaki" is simple, bring Rossi and all of his crew especially Jeremy Burgess to krapasaki team and let them do the job like in 2003 when they turn a Yamaha into a "Honda". :p :p :p
