I was hoping Nick to be 3rd after Stoner and Rossi,
He has been specutacuøar with his flamboyant riding and improved a lot on 800cc compared to last year.

He''s also 2nd to fans liking after Rossi.
NOw it seems the remaining guys are :
Rossi
Stoner
Lorenzo
Doviziozo

loeb I think the order of the riders who are left that you mentioned is also the order how this contest will end.
Maybe Dovi a little broader ahead, he has got many fans because of his sympathy and fairness.

Lorenzo must have won a lot of fans this season though, with his honesty in his own mistakes from the crashes...

Also the china performance was just heroic, after that crash, to go out qualify on the 2nd row and come 4th and not forgetting 3 poles in his first 3 races and a win to boot..

Dovi as well though has rode some fantastic races and he also received a lot of praise for being the only honda rider to really take it to aprilia in 250's, he beat hayden at laguna first time there and only finished 2 places behind lorenzo in his first ever race..

Next season really could be something special with these two on factory bikes in the mix with rossi, stoner and pedro...

He finished ahead of Pedrosa, that's all that bothers me. Prior to Toseland entering MotoGP I pretty much was a Nicky Hayden fan above all others (yes, even Rossi, but only just :)), he's polite, honest and grimly determined. He's suffered 2 years, despite being a reigning World Champion, of being Mr. 'Also rides for' at Repsol Honda, and despite all that he's still been determined and dedicated. He's a hero, there is no other way to describe him.

Yeah he's a nice guy, quick with the quips, great accent etc. But
perfect example phillip island P3, after the race he comments he should have taken his michellin tech's advice and gone with the harder compound but felt he did'nt have the confidence to run with them in the first few laps
Hero :?

saran: One thing I expect of all riders is they are at least polite and act professionally at all times. Pedrosa is neither.

baja: yeh I can see your point but if he'd gone for a harder tyre and fallen off in the first couple of laps, or dropped back to a point where he couldn't get back up to P3 from lack of tyre feedback, he'd have been kicking himself even more. Hindsight is a wonderful thing...

I look forward to 2009 too, to seeing what Hayden can do in a team where he's treated like the champion he is.

Wins mean nothing if you can't put in good results *all* the time. That might be worth telling to Pedrosa who completely dropped the ball this season because he couldn't keep up.

Alberto puigs mouthing off has nothing to do with Pedrosa. Dani has been Polite. That he dosen't smile means nothing. The fact that in 2007 the bikes were dropped to 800cc immediately blames Honda as building a Bike around the small size of Dani Pedrosa. Which I think is not true. The bikes are smaller now. Not because Honda was building a bike for Dwarfs. If he is treated like a Champion he would have gotten a 2 year contract. That he got a one year contract says alot about treating like a champion.DP has 2 wins and is 3rd in WC. Lets watch the Race before we run our mouths. History thinks DP will finish ahead of NH in the WC in 2009. CS is on a different league with the Duke

I entirely agree with Saran, how would most people know what riders are really like as people? Jerry Burgess said Doohan used to fly into a rage if he did not win yet Vale is happy as long as he has done the best he can, anyhow riders are employed to do a job which is win races and championships, Nicky Haydens riding style is hard on the tires consequently he gets beaten, 2 cases in point, Indianapolis and Phillip Island. The press has done a good job on presenting Hayden as the all round nice guy and Dani as some sort of evil person, I am cynical when it comes to the press and don't believe Pedrosa had anything to do with Hayden's sacking from repsol, lack of results would have been reason.

Nicky is the best rider ever! I love him so much. Hopefully is the next champ next year. I don't want Rossi or Pedrosa to win the title.
Go Nicky!!I love you!!
