Tho i see his point, i dont really agree. WSBK is much more exciting these days and he isnt in that so life goes on without rider x or y.

sure people are his fans and rightly so, but one person is not bigger than a sport. if his fans left when he retires then they arent bike racing fans, just fans of his brand.

tho not taking away from the great rider he is and good racing he has produced, and the end of the day he is a just one rider.

I know, just wanted to give it a personal touch :)

Dorna doesn't produce the G.O.A.T., he did it himself,
the essence of being the G.O.A.T. is that it is hard (if impossible) to surpass his achievements.
The Xenophobes will always find a people to kick, can't really take them seriously.

Nicky Hayden said it clearly. In order to win a World championship you've got to be a bad a$$ and for Rossi he is a cold hearted killer.

Take out a dominant Rossi and you have a Dominant Stoner.

Take out Stoner you have a Dominant Pedrosa.

The cycle never ends. Will it be a sad day when Rossi hangs it up? Yes. Will the sport go on and the next breed of a hard charging rider come in? Yes.

There's nothing wrong with being a die hard fan of a particular rider. But to think the sport will end or not be as exciting because one person leaves is rather arrogant IMO, no matter who it is. When Rossi retires the top notch support will be given to the next best rider. This rider will produce amazing results, and so on and so an so on..................

Rossi fans are unbelievable - "no one comes close", "he is the GOAT" etc etc.

Sorry to ruin your fantasies with cold hard facts but in the 800cc class over the past 2 years Rossi IS 2nd in points totals, pole positions and race wins. How do you conclude that "no one comes close" and how does that make him "the GOAT". MotoGP can only get better when he retires so we dont have to listen to the "Rossettes" anymore and their constant drivel. Hailwood, Ago, Doohan, Rainey etc are all just as worthy candidates and had Rossi been up against this sort of competition he would NOT have the record he does today. Being multiple "champ" against Sete, Max and Co isnt what I would call anything special.

G.O.A.T.

You are so right... Hailwood, Ago, Doohan and Rainey were racing at a time that EVERYONE was fighting for the championship. They beat at least 5 racers that were all so close to winning each and every weekend. Give me a break.

All those guys are amazing, but they dominated in their era because they were better than the rest, and making a comparison that Rossi wouldn't have his record if he raced against them? C'mon. You're just talking out of your ass.

Rossi is the only rider ever to win from 11th on the grid, not once not twice but three times. anyone with half a brain has come to realize he is the goat.
and whats this rubbish about "I'll support the next best rider" Really :? even when you know that person was beaten all the time by the guy who retired

"MotoGP not same if no Rossi"

MotoGP = Valentino Rossi, when rossi retired MotoGP become MotoDull-P ?

So before Rossi retire, we should ask him to bequeaths all his skill and techniques to someone else if possible then.
Let me be the first candidates to enroll ... LOL

Interesting technique that Rossi has (and perfected) of easing off the break in the middle of a corner during an over taking manoeuvre therefore forcing the other rider out.
