Last season, I can only think of one motogp race that really had me on the edge of my seat - Laguna. But when I think of the WSBK season, there were many races that had me bouncing up and down. I don't really care if the Motogp bikes go a little bit faster, for me, the thrill is to watch bikes going hammer and tongs and swapping places on a regular basis!!

I thought Sete was using his IQ as his number.

Was wondering if Dani Pedrosa came 4th next year (2009) if he can force Andrea to give up number 4 since he currently will have it in 2009. Poor Dani lost 2nd and therefore took number 3. I find it ridiculous riders wanting the numbers 2 or 3. At least Stoner realized that number 2 or 3 don't mean nothing except that you are a runner up. Kudos to him not wanting to be remembered as the guy that finished 2nd. Hope he takes the number 1 off his Moped though.

@Twoddle...I am so tired of hearing people sound off about WSBK being more exciting that Motogp. Of course it probably is because people of similar talent go there to race and they already have a 1 spec Pirelli tyres to even things up. (Sadly Motogp has gone there to make racing a bit closer).
MotoGP's prestige is that its machines can circulate a race track faster than any other motorcycles in the world and that my friend is where the excitement to want to watch comes from: not watching slow bikes bang with each other to get in front.
Case in point:
At 2008 PI:
Fastest '08 WSBK lap: Troy Bayliss (Ducati) - 1min 32.516secs
Slowest '08 MotoGP lap: Marco Melandri (Ducati) - 1min 32.519s

Dray you are in an absolute minority. When a rider in MotoGP beats everyone esle by 10+ seconds, breaking lap records in the process (whether it be Stoner, Rossi or Pedrosa etc), that is exciting? A very slightly slower bike (that takes just as much muscle to get the best from) that results in 3 riders changing positions numerous times on the last lap, separated by less than half a second at the finish line isn't quite as exciting? Do you watch the races mate or just go by bime sheets and a very full anorack?

19 bikes..... come on, this really needs looking at. I remember racing against 21 bikes and was told the series didn't have much credit because of the lack of riders. I now have same opinion on MotoGP.

What are the organisors going to do next, put 2 bikes on each row??

Please do not let the seris turn into Borumla 1, which has more cars.

Oh...I watch the races and most times the person that I like never leads the race. He eventually gets to the front and that makes it exciting for me. Do I want to look at WSBK less talented riders going around a track at a slower speed, all bunched up. Fighting. Jostling and then doing it a second time. LOL Hell no !No! not at all. Very suprising that Motogp riders in the mid year or old age racing life seems to be able to immediately fight at the front. I like talent over no talent. Have you ever watched a boxing match where two boxers beat away at each other for 12 rounds because they just dont have the talent to knock out the other and it becomes bloody, boring. Thats WSBK for me. IMO.

Both series will be brilliant next year, but if i had to choose one it would be MotoGP cos I just couldn't live without knowing and seeing whats happening! It just means more to me to know how the Rossi/Stoner battle is going, or Dovi/Dani or Gibernau/Hayden, Colin/James, Lorenzo/Lorenzo etc etc
