This confirms it. John Hopkins is the "unluckiest" bike racer ever!

the MotoGP foundations are a shakin''... Is this the beginning of the end? - Well some would say that has been happening since the switch to 800''s, but one of the big 5 pulling out? Will Suzuki be the next to go?

No wonder Mr Rossi has been hyping up WSB''s, perhaps he knows that''s where the near future of bike racing is...

Real shame, will miss green on the grid...

This really is bad news if it happens. The grid in MotoGP is dwindling. Kawasaki really should have decided at the end of the season instead of signing riders first.

Oh what a BLESSING this would be! I will stand with the crowd, on the front row, and wave goodbye to Kawasaki with a GIANT smile on my face, especially when I watch John "I''ve never made a good decision in my life" Hopkins slowly slip out of sight.

Please folks, don''t be angry or sad at Kawasaki''s decision to leave MotoGP, this is a GREAT humanitarian statement. It''s no different than watching your dog suffer year after year and finally deciding to put a bullet through its head and bury it in the back yard.

Thank you Kawasaki, and GOODBYE!!!

Newest rumour: Aspar Martinez may find a place for Hopper on a third Suzuki with Movistar and Monster sponsoring...
The FIM regulations dictate that the field must me at least 18 bikes in size and they're one short now.

Morgue does that mean Moviestar and Monster would sponsor Hopper's team / bike completely? I doubt Suzuki would be willing to or have the budget for another bike in the current climate, particularly with all the cutbacks?

This is bad news for the series. Ok, so the bikes were slow, but at least it added variety to the grid. MotoGP may now consist of a mere 4 manufacturers. Feel sorry for Hopkins & Melandri too - based on his testing times I genuinely believe this would have been an opportunity for Melandri to redeem his reputation.
