Kawasaki is to MotoGP what Yoshinoya is to fine Japanese cuisine.

This is an aside. But how crap is the motogp.com site!!! Absolutely nothing about Kawasaki at all. Speedtv.com seems to be pretty good and informed (all be it about rumours) but heaps better than this site and motogp combined. Wonder why? I'd say that Kawasaki are going to stay in some form but little Johnny may ride in the ama.

Am I wrong in saying Kawasaki has a contract to be on the grid, in whatever form, until 2011. There may be a payout clause, but having to supply, say, Aspar with a bike or two and some spares would surely be little more expensive than paying everyone off?

Surprised to see some folk are expecting anything on the MotoGP.com site.
It isn't a news site, it's a vehicle for Dorna to promote themselves and as such any 'negative' news is always late, down-played and spun.
More to the point, why has no news emerged as yet from the crisis meeting today in Japan?

What's the point to have the Kwacks in Motogp with little or no development from last year ? Last again ?

Kawasaki should shift their money and engineering to SBK and AMA.

I think Hopkins would do well in SBK. Melandri, I'm not so sure, hope Honda can find him some ride.

I'm glad I'm not alone in being somewhat tired of reading about all the guesswork going on. More importantly, 'Mr Dorna' Ezpoleta says he's not, and never was, concerned over the ( predicted ) exit of kawasaki, as long as he 'maintains a good spectacle'...that says it all as far as I'm concerned.

Is motogp pricing itself out?? Is it just too expensive to run bikes in motogp??
WSB and BSB are both great racing standards (and AMA for that matter) on bikes that we, the general public, can relate to, motogp bikes are awsome machines, there is no denying that, but they mean very little to production machines (except development I guess).
The motogp races are all down to 2 or three riders over the last few years and it is getting a bit predictable on who will be on the podium after each race.
At least with WSB and BSB it's a shoot out to the line with some great tight races.
