Actually rossi said if he had to choose between tobacco sponsorship and not racing he'd choose tobacco, guess that accounts for the 2 years with gauloises and one year with camel.

Hmmm. 'I think they are leaving not just because of financial reasons.'
Have they become alergic to lime green perhaps?
Why don't you just say what you mean ... they are leaving because they are cr*p at building racing motorcycles, at any level and any class, and can't suffer the embarrassment of this rubbish performance for a millisecond longer.
And for the Kawasaki owner who presses the disagree button to this comment ... why did you buy one? Are you a masochist? Get therapy!!!

Deadbeats. I do not buy a bike because of how it's cousin performs in MotoGP but for the general look and ability of the machine as a road bike. Kawasaki have made some great sport bikes over the years. The 04 ZX10 arguably there best bike in recent years, good looking too: With the addition of a steering damper, it can still stick it to anything :)

Do not forget the green company invented the modern 4 cycl format.

Deadbeat, I am a Kawasaki owner (4 at present) and I certainly agree with you! Timbo, the italians "invented" the across the frame 4cyl concept and Honda were the first to put it into volume production, althrough Kawasaki history they have never put much effort into road racing, it's almost like they don't care, this of course means they don't care about their many loyal fans either! :)

Just for the record: Rossi would NEVER ride for a sigaret-sponsor!

I miss the days when there were 25-30 bikes on the grid," Reuters reports Stoner as saying.

Riff comment: CAN HE REMEMBER THOSE DAYS?? If he can, does he remember it so much that he can "miss it" ? The kid is just out of his diapers for gods sake. Or maybe he was thinking of 125 & 250 ?

smokers - Are you not old enough to remember Camel and Gauloises then?

riff raff - It wasn't really that long ago we had 25/30 bikes. Without looking I'd say we had at least 25 just 5 years ago.
