Well, the bikers have put up and supported Donnington for years, and just when we thought they were going to pay us back with a super new circuit and propper facilitys we get booted out thanks!!

Silverstone is boring at the best of times, if Moto GP don't get their act together and find at least another 6-8 bikes to bolster the series, those 17 or possibly less bikes will be a joke at Silverstone.

They'll also have to build some pretty tall grandstands to ensure that spectators can see the action for more than a milisecond, I don't know whether it's good or bad to be honest, they might end up with both Moto GP and F1 if Donington don't deliver.

Oh my God, what on earth have they done, why didn't Jonathan Palmer step in and bid for the GP, now that really would have been the most awesome event at the most awesome of circuits, Silverstone has quite rightly been described as a sh_t hole and I must agree with that, what a crying shame.

Brands Hatch should have got it, where's the good Doctor when you need him?

I won't be wasting my money going to Silverstone, unless they build a triple decker grandstand, you won't see abloody thing there.

Could be worse, there might not be a British F1 or Moto GP if someone didn't step in to save the day, Silverstone might not be the best venue but it's better than alot of other Moto GP circuits we go to, same is probaably true of f1 as well.

It can only be good news for UK motorsport that we've been able to retain both GP's in the UK, some countries haven't got one let alone two headline events and WorldSBK and WRC.

Don't worry about Siverstone there won't be MotoGP in 2010. If there is the 'old'circuit would have been good but the gokart track, rubbish. Better would have been Lydden Hill for several reasons.
1. 17 bikes would not look lost on a one mile circuit.
2. The 5000 spectators that turn up would look like a decent crowd.
3. It's easier to get in and out of.
4. There's a decent pub up the road to go to after the racing is over ie 125s and 250s.
5. The security code for this message is G4RF (should have been L4RF, LARF I nearly drank my own beer) :?

Bugger. I stood at Stowe in the p***ing rain in '85 and could see only one corner of bike action. Haven't been since and won't be going again. Silverstone is the most boring circuit in the country and all the "improvements" made over the years at the behest of the F1 hoorays just made it worse by removing the only thing it was good for watching - sheer speed.

i was at silverstone earlier this year for the renault day and my gf nearly stood on a nail cos of a site they were working on (few corners past where michael had his accident, they were building a stand for when teh f1 went there) had not been cleared up properly. wont be going there.

why not brands? brands is the only other option
