i cant believe dorna have done this. anyone who thinks silverstone is a better race track than donnington is a fool. so what the facilities were poor at donnington i was there to watch the best motorcycle racers in the world battle it out not have a dump in luxury portaloo's!! for years ive sat on the hill at the old harpin and there's nothing like it, i cant see how watching the bikes blur past at maggots will ever be able to compete with the thrills and spills of craner curves. im so so disappointed at this news. and i have to listen to bloody charlie cox! whatever next?

Could Dorna do any more to F'up the series!? Still if the current economic crisis lasts a couple of years Honda will do an F1 and we can look forward to Valentino ending his career in WSBK cos there will be no motogp.

Yee Gods, this is not good news. The most tedious circuit in the country gets the best race, but whatever, please don't make them use that utterly ridiculous BSB/WSBK chicane, we'll be a laughing stock.

Sod that for a game of soldiers ! speaking as an adopted scot it will just be too far to travel and hence too expensive to travel all the way down there, not to mention it's not a great circuit for bikes.....I think i will go to donnington this year and then next... mugello !!! or anywhere apart from silverstone!!!

It wouldn't go to Brands because it dosn't meet the required safety standards (run-off etc) that are required for MotoGP and F1.
So, it could only ever be Donington or Silverstone.
Donington may be a better track but the overall facilities at Silverstone are way better and with the road improvements is much easier to get in & out of - recall the monumental traffic jams every year at Donington.
I'll certainly not miss the dismal trek to the dull East Midlands each year.

unless they get rid of the stupid chicane at Woodcote, the racing at Silverston is going to be crap. To be honest, if the riders are happy to race at places like Laguna Seca, I don't see what their problem with Brands is, if the race was held there it would be epic!

tho i cant speak for donnigton, but i found brands when full on a wsbk day, much less annoying than a half full silverstone on renault f1 day. i only speak as i find and i may be doing silverstone a dis service or caught it on a bad day, but the place was a bit of a dump.

how can laguna be ok safey wise and not brands? laguna seca have done very little to improve safety, and what they have done is a token gesture with little improvement. what happened in 98 could happen again. the walls esp from the last corner down to turn 1 are still to close.
