I've read lots of replies saying you can not see much racing at Silverstone...... why should that worry the Spanish Mafia that is Dorna? They could not give a $hi7 about the paying trackside fan. All they (DORNA) see is the merchandise and licensing revenue. BBC offered more money.... they got it despite probably supplying a lower standard/period of coverage. Silverstone undercut Donington (who need revenue to cover the redevelopment costs) and they get it. Carmen Miranda (or whatever his name is!!) is intent on filling his and his cronies pockets rather than supplying a spectacle that true enthusiasts have come to expect. Rossi and Nicky need to threaten a breakaway, like KRsr and Bazza!!!

If DORNA/Silverstone can supply us all with helicopters to follow the race round the track at 100ft.... I MIGHT contemplate going. If not, forget it. Bertie Pooch and Carmen are destroying our sport. Its time the real racers (sorry to repeat myself) need to stand up and say... ENOUGH!!! Unfotunately, there are toooooooo many corporate *****s in the sport these days who are afraid to speak out.... as Bazza said at a walkout meeting.... " How can you walk without a spine?"

From a spectators point of veiw Silverstone is not a patch on Donnington, I don''t think the facilities are any better for your average punter either.

You will only be able to see at best a small part of the circuit and on the start finish straight you will pay big money for a garndstand seat and see next to nothing of the racing.

Great decision for big business corporate hospitality rubbish for the rest of us. I will spend the money on something else and just watch it on TV

The loss of craner curves is a bigger tragedy than the loss of kawasaki to the championship.

Ivyann has it dead right: this is about TV and politics and the fans don't get a look in. I think the racing will look good on the box simply because fast tracks tend to make for close action. For the fans though it is the worst track in the country for viewing.

Donington is pretty much a one line circuit and races tend to be a bit processional. That should suit the F1 types at least!

If it were my choice I would have the GP at Brands, or pump some serious cash into Oulton Park and have it there.

There were no bikes at Silverstone for years as the owners thought the fans were troublemakers. Strange how losing F1 has changed all that.

All your British tracks are cr*p they are stuck in a time warp of the sixties, you really deserve to have Moto GP and F1, but with the tracks you have No you dont rate these days at all.
So move to a new top rate track, there are plently around wanting to host races.
Even New Zealand is building a whole new track to meet 21st centery racing needs.

PLEASE bring it to Brands! its only a 20 minute drive from me :P, I've been to watch the British Superbikes and the World Superbikes there many times, and you can't beat the atmosphere there. You can walk literally anywhere you want! if they race the GP circuit it would be amazing in the forests watching them come down from 100+MPH Pilgrims drop! I also don't understand why everyone is slagging off silverstone so much, i recommend (if you go and see it) to stand at Bridge corner, i have been to Formula One at Silverstone a few times and from Bridge you can see the whole of the final few corners of the track
