Least it's not quite as low as yours given that comment Tony.

Here's hoping for a great season and plenty of fighting for places. If we get that then i'll be a happy lad :)

"Casey seems to forget he has the best bike in terms of acceleration and traction.
All the journo's/ex-racers who ride the Ducati every year confirm this."

When one of the journo's can lap at Stoner's pace with Rossi clamped up their khyber pass then I'll listen to their opinion.

I really get sick of hearing comments about ducati's superior 'acceleration and traction'. When am I going to see a comment about yamahas superior handling and braking! And to think a journos comment can be taken as gospel. **** me!, I recall reading one report where a journo said that the '07 GSVR was the best overall package ffs!
Stick to the kitchen Jules!

Does this mean we might see Stoners Ducati out on track for most of the warm ups and qualifying sessions???? That would be a new thing, better than sitting still for 20 minutes then wallop.....1 fast lap and then relax again....The paying public like to see the bikes circulating. :-o

Does anyone viewing this forum think qualifying tyres don't suck?

Mick, I always loved to see them on the qualifying tyres, sometimes the qualifying was more exited than the race...

I find it great to see that Nicky and Casey are forming a (real) team. (must be a strange feeling for Nicky..)

Getting rid of the Q-tyres will suit some riders who always struggle in producing a single fast lap, like Vermeulen, Dovi to name two. It gives them the chance to translate their practice pace into a grid position that they deserve, give them an opportunity to get a descent start and maybe mix it with the frontrunners. So good riddance.

I agree Morgue it will be good for Dovi and Vermeulen but we all know that Casey was blistering fast on a lot of tracks with racetyres and that Q tyres where the only way for his direct rivals to get a good starting position on him...

Well maybe I am wrong let's wait and see...

Never liked Q tyres. The team and riders have to work on getting a race setup, then have to mess about with the setting to get the best lap with Q tyres, then go back to race setup!. With the teams looking to cut costs, it's something they could do without, much better to see the riders going for grid positions on race tyres.
