At the Very least Hayden will be better then Marco on the Duc and better than he was last year on the POS RC212V. I think he and Stoner will be Rossi's biggest challengers next year. At least this gives us something to talk about besides Kawasaki.

I am really looking forward to seeing Nicky on the Ducati, i think its gona be an awesome season, so quit moaning and let him do what he does best, riding bikes! He and stoner are gona be an amazing team!!!

909--Melandri's biggest problem was the entry of the corner not the exit,,Nicky just understood stoner's english and already knows how to ride this desmo.

I'm not a big Hayden fan, but I do hope he's competetive just to give a more balanced championship.
What we need to remember is that the GP09 is NOT a GP08.

The 2006 Desmo was a good bike- it would've been the world champ in the hands of Capirossi had it not been for the Mugello crash, and then got a 1-2 at Valencia, showing it was easy enough for Bayliss to learn.

The GP7 & GP8's were pigs, only suited to Mr Stoner.

The GP9 could be another 06 bike, another 07/08, or somewhere in between.

What this means is we can't compare Hayden to Melandri, only Hayden to Stoner and the other Ducati riders.

PS Agree on the cap thing- ears should be outside the damn hat...

it would be nice to see hayden up there. the ducati can win with some other rides, not only with stoner on it.
if hayden does too well during the first few races stoner might not allow him to get the data of the settings and ducati may agree to develop with stoner only. hayden would then see himself in the same situation as in hrc

Whenever I read any quotes by Hayden for some reason it's all read in his accent, same thing happens when I read Rossi quotes - it's quite funny.

Anyway, hope he goes well and at least beats the Repsols on a regular basis

I think Danni will perform well this year, and whilst Nicky may be stronger than 08, I just don't think he quite has the pace to topple Pedrosa.

As for fashion sense? I'm not sitting in a trailer park somewhere: surely we should expect our sporting heroes to work correctly fitting head wear?

Hopkins excepted... God gave him plenty of skill and guts (plus a stunning wife), but he played a poor hand on the ear allocation.
