Actually the carbon fiber frame is a major innovation.
If i'm right it was tried before in mbike racing but without success.
Good luck to them so..

It''s red.
It has four cylinders.
It''s 800cc.
It has two wheels.
It''s a motorbike.
I know it''s the off-season and news is thin, but really Crash.net, this is one of the most pointless ''stories'' you have posted in a very long time.
Get a grip.

Whatever you might think or say about Ducati, at least they are innovative and prepared to take risks in new concepts...

Besides that, it looks like a great bike to me... :)

The Chassis was tried back in the 2 stroke era when Carbon fibre was still in its infancy (other than military and F1) . I doubt there will be any problems with the chassis.

The last time carbon was used to build a frame they found it to be to rigged. The duck ,i think uses the engine as a stressed member so the frame is not what i would call a conventional frame, the swing arm pivots off the engine and is built from alloy maybe this is where they have built in the flex,i may well be wrong .

Previous attempts at a carbon fibre chassis were successful in the hands of the late great John Britten, but in GP racing I believe it was Cagiva tried out a carbon fibre frame but it was in the style of a perimeter type frame. Here, essentially, the headstock and air box ARE the front part of the frame.bolting directly to the motor and the swing arm pivots bolt to the rear engine casings so the motor is a stressed member from cases to airbox.
