I seem to be one of few who thought Julian Rider and Toby Moody were poor. The amount of mistakes they make when assessing what is actually going on is unbelievable. Add to that their rants and raves about Simoncelli, especially at Jerez, I sometimes think they are watching a different race than me. There pompous comments really begin to annoy you and I am sure if people actually watched the BBC team, they will find it so much better. The BBC also has interviews with the top 3 at the end of each GP and seem to have more access to other riders.

I assume I come at this from a different perspective from many of the comments here as I am a casual fan of MotoGP.I watched the Eurosport commentary a couple of times -and it seemed to involve two incredibly smug and pompous blokes trying to outdo each other with how much knowlege they had, rather that commentating on the actual racing.I admit Charlie Cox can be a bit of a tit, but at least he isn't talking down to his audience.Maybe that was the Beeb's thinking too.....

i agree that the beeb's commentary team is'nt the strongest but to be honest the last few seasons of the eurosport commentary was getting beyond a joke at times.bias towards a certain italian team and rider and then eating huge amounts of humble pie after virtually writing of rossi's chance's of ever winning the championship again.

paul, the beebs audience is for the casual lot who essentially have no idea of whats going on infront of them, behind the scenes, or why the race is playing out, the way that it is. Its commentary team essentially treats its viewer, like the bbc and goverment does, like a baby.

eurosport is for people, motorcyclists, who are into their racing and have a good knowledge, thats probably why the commentry is on a higher level due to the fact they give the viewer the benefit of the doubt that they also, might have an idea of whats going on.

were taking huge steps backwards when it comes to coverage of a highly passionate sport, and that is not a good thing at all, for its growth.

Commentry aside which is abit of a POV thing as I personally prefer the Technical stuff from Randy and Neil along with the banter from Toby and Julian Somtimes Toby gets well excited it makes me laugh. Parrish and Cox just bore me they never seem very enthused only Matt(the guy from the Pits) knows what he is talking about as he also does all the translations with the riders as he speaks I think all of the languages in the Paddock (maybe not Japanese but I cold be wrong).. no the biggest loss is the Practise and 125-250 races, Qualifiying as this will now mean alot for the race as Qtyres are dead.. no I will have to subscribe to GP.com and route it through me telly

That''s frankly a bit pants. I''m sure i''m not the only person who was hugely disappointed to be missing out on Toby, Julian, and Randy this year. For the BBC to field an unchanged broadcast schedule simply shows how out of touch they are, and how little they appreciate their MotoGP fans.

Hugely disappointed.
