hillbilly. I love the fact that you and your ilk don't like this site any more. What you and bob miss is the ability to belittle and bully people. Let's hope Crash steps it up a notch so you go away for good!

I don't use such colourfull language but I have to agree that there is fun missing now.
Crash, can you not tell the difference between harmless banter and verbal abuse? Anybody that is offended can always report it as abuse. So please continue cleaning up the site but give a little leeway to the fun guys/wind up merchants.

As you can see the likes of hillbilly bob make this place a joke. Why would anyone put up with his crap? Even the anti Rossi contingent should be embarrassed he is in their camp.

The Chinese, Indonesian and American markets are where the lions share of sales will go.

Spies is a better pick to garnish sales in the US because he has the ability to be an Alien in coming years. Hayden is well past his best.

Sponsors want to promote winners.. even if that is only races and not championships. Ducati got a good level of integrity and value from Stoner. This year a win by Ducati might be a bridge too far.

Honda may well get the best value out of Stoner with his rep as a balls out racer, its not always the in your face stuff that sells. Lorenzo should shine in an Asian market and is a current World Champ. Only Pedrosa & Dovi to me seem unsellable.

Rossi will sell bikes in western europe, australia and maybe indonesia, yamaha started to market jorge in indonesia even before Rossi's departure from the team. The domestic superbike series in the states needs an overhaul if they really want to penetrate that market. The hardcore riders are the only ones who care about MotoGp or superbike. normal people never turn it on when they watch tv. And when they do cover it, they flood it with commercial breaks every 5-7 minutes and you usually miss all the big moments of the race. So even if by chance someone was watching they will be totally put off by the sorry assed coverage. I like the spanish coverage the way they keep a small window open during advertisements so you can see the race live. They need to keep throwing **** against the wall util they find something that sticks. If that is not Rossi, then try someone else, or something else.

@The Troll,
Of course they had no idea who he was. He is not in NASCAR. The motorcycle coverage in the states is a joke.
But fewer know who Stoner, Lorenzo, or Pedosa are. That is a crime.
You guys are piling up on me, and yes I am a Rossi fan but I am a Stoner, Hayden, and Pedrosa fan as well. I just don't care for Lorenzo's personality, but I do appreciate his riding.
All that being said, Rossi generates more interest in the sport around the globe. And that is good for the sport.
Now watch the comments that follow this post and see what I was talking about and prove my point.

That's why Ducati Team needs Nicky and Rossi to handle the world wide market. Many might agree with me that Ducati has the most marketable riders in MotoGP.
