His comments were a bit odd? I didn't beleive the GP80 class was running then but maybe not in our State. The licence he was refering to would be a Junior national licence (covers dirt and road) so of course he would have had a licence.

Either way, getting out of Australia was the best thing he could have done instead of wasting 2+ years mixed up in the Australian going-nowhere road race scene.

this is the soft spoken polite guy that has spent his whole motogp career being scorned , ridiculed , and even booed off stages and podiums by people who have no idea what he is even like.

going to miss this man very much next year.
i went through it with gardner , doohan and bayliss and its is always the same sadness.
will be harder with casey because i watched him coming up for a long time just waiting the day he would get the chance to unleash in motogp.
its hard to believe its already over.
everyone has fave riders and casey did me proud.
its always sad when any rider retires , don't worry vale fans i'll join you guys as well when vale retires .
its important to respect and appreciate rival riders because its never the same when one is gone.

Down to earth, normal guy, like Ben Spies as well. Best 2 guys in the paddock I reckon, Ben even telling Casey on Twitter to "crush this week-end", says something about him ... Ben wishing a guy on a competitor bike well, just shows you how Yamaha is.

What a polite guy. I'm not a Casey fan, I admire his riding hugely, but this is really the first time I've seen him in this sort of situation. He impressed me.

thats how the world works, always has and always will, Casey is just good enough to transcend the effects of the tube, and show us all how it really is. A remarkable person.
