Coulthard Denies Gpda Quit Threat
David Coulthard claims he was misunderstood when reports that he was about to quit the Grand Prix Drivers' Association surfaced last week.

It was written that the Scot was fed up with his peers constantly failing to agree on aspects of the F1 rules, and that he would rather be lying on the beach then taking part in fruitless meetings. He was particularly upset that his calls for a code of conduct to cover driving were not universally accepted by the other drivers.

Coulthard, however, insists that he was misquoted, saying that he was already busy enough with McLaren team business to attend GPDA meetings where nothing was decided. He stated that, despite this, he has no intention of quitting the association, of which he is a spokesman.
