2006 MotoGP calendar announced.

The FIM has today announced the 2006 MotoGP World Championship calendar.

The series will again race at the same 17 venues as this year - starting at Jerez on March 26 and ending at Valencia on October 29 - however the likes of Qatar and Turkey will be earlier in the season, while Portugal will be later in the year.

The calendar, which features slight date modifications from the provisional line-up released in late July, now has no less than five sets of back-to-back races with only four GPs being 'stand alone' (with a weekend off either side).
