Moto2: Marc Marquez interview

Valentino Rossi said that one of your best qualities is that you are able to win, even without being the fastest. Is that true? How do you achieve this?

Marc Marquez:
"Yes, sometimes this happens. It might be that at a circuit you are not comfortable or that you are not the fastest that weekend, but in those moments you have to give your all and play your cards right. There are circuits that are better for me than others and GPs where I am the fastest, but you have to squeeze 100% out of every situation.”

Q:
Imagine that you are on the grid alongside Pedrosa, Lorenzo and Rossi and the lights go out. What is it going to be like for Marc Márquez?

Marc Marquez:
"[Smiles] Not right now, but next year. If nothing changes, then that will become reality.”

Q:
If you close your eyes and imagine yourself dressed like Stoner and Pedrosa, does it put butterflies in your stomach?

Marc Marquez:
"If I'm honest, right now I feel nothing. I guess that when we finish the last race in Valencia and are about to test the bike, then yes I'll feel my nerves tingling, but now I am concentrating on Moto2. Next year will come around soon enough."

Q: What was the date that Repsol Honda and yourself/your management began communications concerning your ride next year? Q: What was the date the Rookie Rule began to be challenged?

Geez , some of you guys amaze me, obviously you can all ride better than Marc Marquez, when you can do that then start bitching. Give the guy a break, your part of the reason we lose so many great riders to early retirement. He's got the talent, he's proved that he's a winner why wouldnt Honda or any other manufacturer want him in their team. Great replacement for Stoner, would have liked to see another Aussie up there but I'll take Marquez anytime. Kawh2
