At Assen last year Baylis lapped at 1.39.5 fastest race lap, by comparison Stoners fastest motogp race lap was 1.36.7.At Phillip Island WSB round, Baylis did a 1.32.5 and Hayden did a 1.30.05 at the motogp round..

Put a 1000cc engine in a bespoke frame and it will lap as quickly as an 800cc bike.

The fastest laps of those circuit on a 990cc bike were
2006 Assen 1.37.1 Hayden and Phillip Island 1.30.9 Rossi

The lap times of a 1000cc superbike are comparable to both a 990cc and 800cc prototype.

Were it not for the fact that the FIM and there rights holder DORNA being driven inthe wrong direction by the MSMA (primarily Honda)we could be enjoying 21st century F1 bikes and fuller grids.
