Taking all things into consideration, I would suspect that Mr. Spies is indeed getting Yamaha factory assistance. His contract is with Yamaha. I do believe that at the beginning of the season the bikes were very close between the 2 Yamaha teams. And with Rossi getting injured some bits may have come Bens way at Silverstone. Herve and Yamaha have a very close relationship or so they say.

I just think that the Fiat/Yamaha riders, Rossi and Lorenzo have historically recieved updates before Tech3. It is a trickle down deal with the satellite teams. Support from Yamaha? Oh Yeah. Lorenzo or Rossi level support?

Work on the bikes is behind closed doors so no telling for sure.
